Known for its lush scenery and diverse grape varietals, Alcantara is the perfect launching point for your journey.

From here, you’ll join a group shuttle to begin your kayak adventure with Sedona Adventure Tours. Paddle down the tranquil waters of the Verde River, where you’ll be immersed in the serenity of nature. Keep your eyes peeled for dozens of local bird species and take in the peaceful surroundings as you float past picturesque desert landscapes and lush riparian habitats. There’s also much wildlife that can be observed along the banks of the Verde River.

Upon returning to Alcantara Vineyards, your private guide with Wine Tours of Sedona welcomes you back to the comfort of your personalized experience. Relax with a wine tasting flight and charcuterie pairing while learning about the vineyard’s rich history and the unique terroir that shapes the wines.

Next, we venture to Cottonwood to visit Pillsbury Winery, where you’ll sample wines crafted by Sam Pillsbury, a former Hollywood director turned acclaimed winemaker. Pillsbury’s wines are celebrated for their complexity and character, reflecting his passion for Arizona’s unique growing conditions.

Then it’s off to Old Town Cottonwood, a charming historic district with a vibrant culinary and wine scene. Here, you’ll experience the artistry of Merkin Vineyards and Hilltop Trattoria, owned by Maynard James Keenan, frontman of bands Tool, Puscifer, and A Perfect Circle. Indulge in hand-crafted wines, fresh wood-fired pizzas, handmade pastas, and farm-to-table vegetables, perfectly complementing your tasting experience.
