What’s included in the DJ package?

Your package includes a professional The LAB NYC DJ, a premium sound system (suitable for up to 150 guests if the venue doesn't provide it), a wireless mic for speeches or toasts, and 60 minutes of setup and breakdown time. We also provide a pre-event planning call.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend events. However, we can occasionally accommodate last-minute bookings. Just reach out!

Can we request specific songs or genres?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! During our planning call, you’ll share your musical tastes, “must plays,” and any “do not play” songs. We’ll tailor the experience to match your vibe perfectly!

Do you take song requests during the event?

Yes, as long as the requests align with your vision and energy.

Can you make announcements or emcee parts of the event?

Full emcee services are available as an add-on.

Is equipment included, or do I need to rent anything separately?

We bring everything we need: a DJ controller, speakers, a mixer, a mic, and cables. If your venue already has equipment, we can plug our controller directly into their setup.

What’s the setup and takedown process like?

We arrive approximately 60 minutes before your event to load-in and soundcheck to ensure everything runs smoothly. Afterward, we break down quickly and quietly without disrupting your event flow.

How much space and power do you need for setup?

We require access to one standard power outlet and about a 6x6 ft area for our setup. Covered or indoor space is ideal for equipment protection.

What happens if my event runs longer than expected?

No problem! We can extend services at $250/hour (as long as our schedule allows). Just let us know as early as possible during your event.

Can you travel outside NYC for my event?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we serve the NYC/Hamptons area and surrounding regions. Travel outside NYC may incur additional fees, which we’ll confirm upfront during booking.
