About this Experience
What you'll do:
Step into Alpenswing's alpine-styled lanes and bays in downtown Truckee, where indoor golf and axe throwing share one warm, music-filled room, no skills, no stiff vibes, just your group and a scorecard.
Play world-famous courses on the simulators – Tee off at Pebble Beach, St Andrews, or twenty other championship layouts from a climate-controlled bay.
Try beginner-friendly simulator games – Choose from closest-to-the-pin, target challenges, and group party modes built for non-golfers.
Throw axes with hands-on coaching – Get walked through stance, grip, and release by staff who help most first-timers hit a bullseye within minutes.
Compete across mixed lanes – Split your group between golf bays and throwing lanes, then swap halfway through your hour.
Drink and relax between rounds – Grab a cold beer or seltzer and settle into the lounge area while the next thrower steps up.
The whole space is built for the moment after a ski day, before dinner, or anytime the weather pushes you indoors. Expect a lot of cheering, a fair amount of trash talk, and the kind of group photos people actually post.
Why we love it for your party:
Mixed-activity setup – Your group never gets bored because half can golf while the other half throws, then switch.
Zero-experience welcome – Bring guests who've never held a club or an axe, and they'll be competitive within ten minutes.
Bookable as a full private party – At $100 flat, small groups get the venue feel without per-person pricing surprises.
All-weather, all-season – When Truckee weather closes the slopes or the lake, the bays and lanes stay open and warm.
Drinks on-site – Beer and seltzers are stocked, so the hour flows without anyone running out for refreshments.
