About this Experience
What you'll do:
Step into the Ice House at Belle Meade and build a bourbon cocktail from scratch, guided by a certified Bourbon Steward who walks you through every decision from spirit to garnish.
Craft your cocktail: You'll mix, shake, and stir your own signature bourbon drink using fresh seasonal juices, handcrafted syrups, aromatic bitters, and vibrant garnishes chosen to match your palate.
Learn as you go: Your Bourbon Steward covers the fundamentals of bourbon production and explains what sets Belle Meade Bourbon apart from other distillates on the shelf.
Take it home: Every guest leaves with their finished cocktail served in a Belle Meade souvenir glass and a printed recipe card so you can recreate the drink at home.
Explore the grounds: Your ticket includes all-day access to Belle Meade Historic Site from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, covering 31 acres with two restaurants, a bar, a coffee shop, and resident horses.
Catch live music: On select days, live music plays on the property, giving your group something to settle into before or after the class.
This bourbon cocktail class pairs well with a Belle Meade Wine and Food Pairing or a historic tour of the estate, making it easy to build a full afternoon without leaving the property.
Why we love it for your group:
Small group format: Public classes are capped at 12 guests, which keeps the pace relaxed and gives everyone real time with the Bourbon Steward rather than a lecture-hall feel.
Private bookings available: Groups larger than 12 can reserve the experience exclusively — contact cindy@bellemeadewinery.com or call 615-356-6164 to arrange a private session.
Built for bachelorettes: The hands-on format, souvenir glass, and beautiful historic backdrop make this a natural fit for bachelorette parties looking for something more memorable than a standard bar stop.
Close to downtown Nashville: The venue sits 7 miles from downtown, making it easy to pair with other Nashville activities earlier or later in the day without a long drive.
Something to do all day: Between the class, the bar, the restaurants, the walking paths, and the historic house tours, your group can fill an entire afternoon on a single property.
