I'm not the best cook and a picky eater. I was interested to try out SOUS. I was connected with Chef Judith and it has been a really good experience. She just completed her 3rd visit today. Each time we discuss the menu - what I liked, what could improve. Her skills are fabulous and she definitely tailors it to me. She preps all meals and then leaves me with a clean kitchen at the end. I definitely recommend trying it out.

We found chef Maurice through Sous and couldn't have been more delighted. My nanny who made meals for us quit and Chef Maurice was an absolute lifesaver! He was incredibly professional, arriving on time and prepared to create delicious meals for my family. We opted for fish tacos instead of pork, and Chef Maurice was incredibly accommodating. The three dishes he prepared, complete with generous sides, were absolutely mouthwatering. We had enough to feed the whole family for the entire week! Chef Maurice was a pleasure to work with. He was flexible, attentive to our needs, and incredibly warm and personable. The fact that he traveled 2 hours from the city to come and cook for us is a testament to his dedication. His food was outstanding! The jambalaya and chicken shawarma were particular favorites. If you're looking for a top-notch chef who will not only deliver incredible meals but also provide an exceptional cooking experience, I highly recommend Chef Maurice!

I never thought I'd be a private chef person. I had a big birthday coming up and wanted to something nice for my family and loved ones in town. After doing the math on an upscale Chicago restaurant (three courses, drinks, parking/valet, Uber), hosting a dinner at home was actually comparable in cost and way less stressful for everyone involved. Booking a private chef took maybe fifteen minutes — I filtered for a female chef, described what I wanted, and got matched instantly. I casually asked if the chef would do a fresh pasta demo and she said yes without hesitation. That detail ended up being the highlight of the whole night. If you're planning a birthday or family dinner with little kids involved, Sous is perfect.

Amazing experience with Chef Vlad! He prepared a wonderful dinner for us, 5 courses, including one of the best risottos I’ve ever had. From the personalized menu to the wine pairings to the highest quality of ingredients, everything was perfect. Great conversation and such a fun night. I had recently been introduced to Sous, and the whole experience was fantastic – we will definitely be doing this again and will recommend it to all of our friends!

Sous has completely changed my family's life after a short 2 months. I couldn't be happier! I don't like cooking. We only have a couple hours of free time every day. And cooking is not how I want to spend my free time. I hate that we're getting take out so much, it's unhealthy and I don't even like the food! I was laying in bed one day trying to think of a way to make things better for our life and randomly decided to google how much a personal chef would be, just curious. Sous came up, showing a new idea I hadn't thought of with a chef coming to our home to meal prep 1x a week???? That is even better than a personal chef cause that is actually affordable for us. My mind was completely blown. That it's actually something we could fit in our budget. I was like, this can't be real, right? We just had a phone call to kick off what we were looking for. And then she proposed some ideas, we went with it, letting her know what we liked and what we didn't like, and then every time we've been kind of like dialing it in. And then recently, she's just been nailing it every single time. I think she just really knows us a lot more now. It's just been so, so amazing! Knowing the chef, seeing that she's using all whole food ingredients, and being able to give input on what we like and don't like? – it is just so much better than takeout.

This was the first personal chef I've ever booked. We had a special event, and he worked with me well in advance to craft a menu. When the time came, he arrived with all the things and proceeded to turn the kitchen into a high-end establishment. The food absolutely exceeded expectations, and Chef was easy-going and professional. We enjoyed hanging around while he prepped the food, and then when dinner time came, he presented beautifully plated meals. He cleaned up and thought of all the details. Highly recommend Chef Neno for his delicious food and thoughtful service. Thank you, Chef!

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Chef Andrew! He came over to my apartment and made several delicious dishes with flavors from all over the world. While cooking he was extremely generous with his knowledge, teaching me different techniques and patiently answering all of my questions along the way. Overall Sous was such a cool, convenient and easy experience — eating home-cooked meals prepared by a professional is a much better alternative to ordering expensive delivery food when my schedule gets too busy for me to cook for myself. I can’t wait for the next opportunity for Chef Andrew to cook for me again!

Chef Jordan did food prep for me and I can’t believe what a great experience it was. I got a fridge full of mix and match dishes and I’ve been eating like a queen for less than it would have cost to DoorDash McDonald’s 8 times. Home cooked food with meat, veggies, sides and sauces cannot be beat when you have a professional chef at home :)

Sous helped us orchestrate a one-of-a-kind private dinner for my father in law’s milestone birthday. Chef Issa was very easy to communicate with leading up to the event and the app made it easy to sort out items like menu, budget and other logistics. And, the food was delicious! It was a night to remember and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Sous again for our next private dinner or meal prepping need.

We signed up for Sous as I have had struggles eating well since my stem cell transplant last year. We decided to invest in the meal prep for 4 meals and two servings weekly. We searched the list of chefs and settled on Chef Alejandro. He proposed a menu for the first four meals which we accepted. Alejandro shopped and came to our Stuyvesant Town apartment and filled our place with lovely aromas while he prepared our meals. The meals have been delicious and we are already looking forward to next week. Pricing works out to what we would pay if we eat out but our healthy meals are prepared right in our kitchen to our liking! Congratulations to Sous for establishing what looks to be a viable model for healthier eating!

Chef Yumi from Sous was truly amazing. She immediately made our family delicious bone broth soups, chicken, tofu, eggplant, and bok choy. Cooked to perfection. Her food is healthy and cozy all at the same time. I highly recommend!

Great service, would absolutely recommend! We worked with Chef Maurice and he put together a top notch meal prep menu for us that took into consideration all of our requests and goals. Flavors were diverse and amazing! He was on top of communications leading up to our service. He was extremely professional and we enjoyed getting to know him while he cooked in our home. Can’t wait to keep working with him! Also a shoutout to the Sous team. Craig in particular was great at checking in and answering questions. If anyone has thought about hiring a personal chef and/or trying a meal prep service, Sous is the way to go!

Chef Judith has been truly wonderful. She’s super organized and proactive. She will recommend weekly menus or is open to my suggestions. It’s been a real game changer for our family.

For us, it was a special occasion, an 18-person family dinner. We had Chef Carson in Chicago, and she did a remarkable job. The food was delicious, service was impeccable, and everybody had fun! I couldn't recommend them enough.

It was my first time hiring a private chef. My chef was exceptionally professional, warm, and engaging. She and her sous chef connected wonderfully with the children and seniors in our party. Their professionalism, kindness, and ability to engage guests truly stood out. I would absolutely hire her again -- top shelf experience.

We had an awesome experience with Chef Keenan! Everything was fabulous and yummy. We were able to celebrate our anniversary at home, without the hassle of going out on a Friday night.

My chef created a creative and delicious menu for 14 of us for a celebration dinner. You can tell he knows his craft. He was conscious of dietary restrictions and allergies and also makes great cocktails. This dinner was a lot of work but he did great and was an excellent communicator leading up to dinner while we planned the menu. The food was excellent as were his wine pairing recommendations.

Wow, where do I even begin—how incredible the food was, or how special Chef Carson made the night feel? Everything was fun, delicious, and perfectly within our budget. She treated our home with so much respect, and somehow our guests ended up thanking us for the evening. A wonderful experience all around.
