My friends and I had such a wonderful time celebrating our friend, Amanda’s wedding weekend. It was so fun to go through and pick all of the scents for our individual fragrances and we all came up with such different ideas (to wear to the wedding!). Tracy was so knowledgeable about perfume and helped us make the most of the experience and was very fun to talk to! If I’m ever back in Nashville, I will definitely be back! Also, we got a lot of perfume for the price, and the custom labels were a delightful touch! :)

He gave us a run down of the store, talked about his wife (the owner) accomplishments, and the history. It was an overall amazing experience and he was super knowledgeable about how to enhance our note choices. We weren’t rushed and we left super excited and happy! 100/10 experience. I booked this appointment for my fiancé because he loves cologne and we needed to make our wedding scents. It was a fantastic Christmas gift! The owners of the shop are so knowledgeable and kind when walking customers through the process. My fiancé and I ended up getting AMAZING scents and we are so excited to get our engraved bottles. I chose Story Fragrance Library first because it was the most affordable option for the amount of product you got to take home. But the experience!! It was so phenomenal. The owners quickly felt like family, so kind and welcoming while they walked us through the fragrance making process. They were helpful in guiding but also let us have total control over what our final product smelled like. I was shocked to find out that they are the only place in the country to allow you to use unlimited numbers of fragrances, as most places only allow 2-3. I ended up using 6-8 and the scent came out gorgeously complex! The studio was in such a good location and the session was totally private! Me and my friend went for my birthday and we had the best time. Definitely will be returning in the future!🤍

1/10 experience! I've been hesitant to book a perfume making class because there are so many different ones in town, it's hard to know what's legit. Story Fragrance is the place to go!! Husband and wife duo James and Tracy are great at what they do and you can tell that they love what they do because of their knowledge and passion for scents/fragrances. They both gave stellar customer service and made the whole experience fun and memorable. When we were done concocting our scents, James engraved our bottles for us right then and there! I can't wait to come back and tell all my other friends about it! Thank you Mr. James and Mrs. Tracy!!

What an amazing experience!!! My friends and I came for a bachelorette trip and all made a custom perfume and it was incredible!! The staff is so helpful and kind and made sure all our perfumes smelled amazing. They also custom engrave the bottle. 100/10 would do again!

I had a wonderful time at **Story Fragrance** in Nashville. The owners spent a great amount of time walking me through the entire process and explaining exactly what was going on. I learned a lot about how fragrances are made — for example, I didn’t even realize every cologne or perfume is built around three basic layers: the **top notes, mid notes, and base notes**. That’s what creates the depth and complexity of the scent. Pretty fascinating. Because I wanted something a little different, I actually used **AI to help design a recipe**, and they had a blast helping me bring it to life. It was such a fun, creative, and personal experience. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in town, definitely check them out. You may want to call ahead or book online since they stay busy — Nashville is the Bachelorette capital of the world, after all — but it is absolutely worth taking the time to visit.

"I visited as part of a Bachelorette party during the last week of June - everyone chose to do a perfume and we all had a GREAT experience! We were originally to meet with Tracy but due to personal - and completely understandable - circumstances, James led our party instead. Stepping into Story, we were met with a mixture of fragrances. It was a very pleasant smell, and by no means was it overwhelming. James spoke to the high quality of the oils and guided us as we each created our personal fragrances. This man is a wizard. His keen ability to make recommendations - a little drop here, couple more there, a couple pleasantly-surprising recommendations - demonstrated his vast knowledge of not only fragrance but the customer experience as well. 10/10 would recommend paying a visit (they do candles and bathrooms that won't stain your bathtub too!) - everyone had a blast and we all walked away with something unique and personal to us. Beyond that, Tracy and James are incredible people; point blank. The price point is exceptionally fair - I'd much rather create my own fragrance and get a top-notch experience than spend twice as much for the same volume in a retail store. To cap it off, James really hit home as he checked in with us for our trip and in a nutshell encouraged us to stick together and not take drinks from strangers. Although I don't think he has many more years on me, his caring and fatherly energy made for an incredible and comforting experience. Even if you have sensitivity to smells like myself, the quality of ingredients allows you to enjoy everything without the worry of side effects like most mass produced products. We decided to splurge on the engraved bottle as well, WORTH IT! Gorgeous engraving, gorgeous location and scents, and gorgeous owner! 🥰100000/10! Book yourself a one on one session, a date night (yes you can make cologne too!), even your next party! Story Fragrance Library is the place to go! 🥳

Great experience! So fun to do with friends. The bottle of perfume is much larger than I expected. Definitely worth the price! The inside of the shop is cute and the owners are super knowledgeable about fragrance. They also have several traditional masculine scents available if men want join the group fun or if you want to make a scent for your special man! 😊

Wow - Tracy and team totally exceeded our expectations! They made the intimate bachelorette surprise and in hotel experience truly memorable. Tracy was incredibly communicative before the booking answering questions, prepping and planning, and then hands on with details down to helping to personalize our labels. We did the candle and perfume class for 4 of us and it was the perfect number for one hotel room, even with Tracy and her helper (apologies I forgot his name, but awesome gent as well). The perfume/scent experience was so fun to see how each of us did such different combinations that truly represented our personalities. I would totally do this again on our next trip. Great souvenirs (TSA looked at the candle briefly) and a wonderful way to remember our trip. Most of all Tracy was a blast and her energy and fun levels were contagious. The quality of the products were lovely and my home smells amazing weeks after as my candle has been a great way to bring a little bit of Nashville's charm back to California.
