Booked this for my 30th birthday, the space is adorable, the owners are so friendly and helpful and really made this a GREAT experience for my friends and I. 10/10 and they have the cutest dogs!

My daughter and I came in to do something special for her 16th birthday trip. Tracy was very knowledgeable and helped us fine tooth our fragrances. She allowed us to take our time and answer any questions we had. Her husband James did a fantastic job on our custom bottles for us. Something that I think stands out that she offers. We were the only ones in there today but I can only imagine how much fun it would be with more people in there. It’s a nice location not far from downtown and easy to get to. Definitely will do another stop there on a future trip with my daughter or on a girls trip! I will also recommend it to any and everyone I know that comes down that wants to do something unique! Thanks again guys!

This was by far the best Nashville experience! The owner, Tracy, was super knowledgeable and charismatic. She was so helpful in helping each of us create our own individual experiences and was so personable. She also shared a ton of knowledge about the area, including recommendations for places to eat, visit, and more.

I have been searching for a place to make my own fragrance for years and I am so thankful I found Story. It’s just outside of Nashville proper so no chaos and way better prices. LOCALS hear me when I say you want to come here !!! Don’t go downtown 😉 as a Nashville native & perfume lover I really appreciated this experience … so fun. Tracy is so knowledgeable!!!! If you're wondering if you should stop here the answer is YES! If you want to go to a perfumery in Nashville and the surrounding areas it should be this perfumery. This was the best experience I've had in Nashville to date! You get to experience actually making perfume and for the price that you're paying you get a significant amount of perfume. Everyone that I know will be hearing about this place and it's very lovely owner! I am so very happy I don't think I'll stop talking about this experience for a long time!

We took a couple’s trip to Nashville and decided to do a fragrance and candle making class. We looked at options for fragrance making in Nashville and decided on Story Fragrance Library and we were not disappointed! Tracy was amazing! She was very personable and used her expertise to guide us in making both a candle and perfume. Although, we don’t live in Nashville, we are already planning to come back. Our fragrances all came out great and matched our individual styles. 10/10 would recommend!

We had an ABSOLUTE blast here! I planned a date day for my husband and myself and wasn’t sure what to expect, and was kind of worried that it would be too girly for my husband - boy was I wrong! I think my husband had way more fun with this than I did with - and I love creative things like this! James led us through the whole experience and was very informative and personable! Whether you’re booking for a date, a girls night out, bachelor/bachelorette party, or just can’t find the perfect scent for you in stores - this is a must do! I know we will be back!

I went here for my bachelorette party to make a perfume and throughly enjoyed it. The owners are very educated on their product and are great teachers. They have SO many scents to choose from. I booked for me and my friend to make perfumes for her birthday, and it was so much fun. Any time slot you pick is just your party, so you don't have to worry about others. The owners are the sweetest people ever and make sure you achieve the scent you want. You also take home the 4mL glass bottle which is so pretty. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely go again!

I absolutely enjoyed making perfume here. It was a random date day for my fiancée & I. Tracy was so informative with the education on the process of making perfume & balancing out scents to make them strong or a little more subtle. Her interaction overall just with conversations about everyday things, spreading her kindness, & letting her love shine meant more than she will ever know. We have this as revisit date spot for sure or even just to pop in & safe hello to Holly & Shot (the sweet fur babies).

They had little areas to take pictures & were so helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process! Highly recommend this activity. We had no issue flying with the bottles either on carry ons !!! My family visited the perfume lab today and it was such a fun experience! There are so many wonderful scents to choose from, and the 4 of us had such a great time making our own custom perfumes to remember our family vacation! The process is very fun, and it’s a laid back relaxing atmosphere! I’d definitely recommend a visit, and it’s great for all ages!

The owner is an absolute peach! Our experience was delightful and so much fun. If you’re looking for something to do as a group that has easy parking (unlike broadway) then this is place to go. They have so many perfume options, I’d go again!

Our appointment at Story Fragrance Perfume Lab was at 8 PM because of our drive, but James welcomed us with so much kindness and attentiveness that you would have thought we were his first customers of the day. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, personal, and so inviting. James was incredibly knowledgeable and explained everything so well, but what touched me the most was hearing how he and his wife run the business together and how much credit he gave her. That was really beautiful to see. The whole experience felt special and genuine. I’m so glad we canceled our other plans and chose to spend our evening here—it was exactly where we were meant to be.

Here in town for a bachelorette and it was such a memorable experience. Tracy and James were welcoming and walked us through every step with care. I am a very indecisive person so to be able to trust the process, she pulled out extra hidden tricks to help balance your scent and get you to where you needed to be. Even had 2 dogs walking around to join the party and recommended one of the coolest vintage stores I have ever been to. Both locations are must see spots

Story Fragrance Library is a DREAM experience and you end up with a likewise DREAM-Y product as a result. As a Nashville local, I feel spoiled there is a company like this in the city that I can go to as often as I’d like. You have over 300 scent notes to choose from and can mix as many as you’d like to create your own custom perfume (eau de parfum, what most perfumes you would buy in store are) or cologne. You end up with a 4-oz bottle—larger than any bottle you would buy of an eau de parfum in stores. Additionally, the scents are ordered from Europe, are of extremely high quality, and you leave with a product that will last on you and your clothes far longer than most of the products you could buy in store—even high-end brands now use a fair amount of water in their products which hinders longevity and sillage. You get to name your product and create a custom label for it as part of the experience. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful—they will educate you on perfume and cologne, and help you craft a fragrance you love. Bonus—if you write down what scent notes you use and how much, you can recreate the scent as many times as you need to. No more issues with not being able to get a perfume or cologne you love because the company discontinued it! Final plug—what you will pay for your perfume or cologne here is cheaper than almost any product you would buy in a store. There are truly no cons to this. Do it!

A time was had. Not only do you handcraft your own parfum, but it’s a learning experience tied into one. The oils to select from were absolutely amazing. I didn’t feel rushed at all and I was even guided by James on what scent goal I wanted. Super happy with my experience. Also, he was kind enough to take photos of my bestie and I for memories. This experience was absolutely amazing! I would give this 10 stars if I could. Tracy and James are so accommodating, a wealth of knowledge, and make the fragrance experience so much fun. They worked around a snow storm we’re about to have and even came in 2 days early to accommodate a surgery I am having, so I didn’t miss my reservation. If you’ve never done fragrance making, you have to go see them! My wife and I will absolutely be back to do this again!! I had a lot of fun making perfumes, and have found I have a real knack for it. Tracy has done a great job with the place, and her instructions were clear and easy to understand. Both fragrances were quite lovely, and have only gotten lovelier as they've sat. Will definitely be back. Been meaning to do a review for awhile.

The owners were very welcoming when we arrived. We were walked through the steps on how to make our personal perfume and cologne and it was surprisingly easy. Tracy helped us navigate through the scents and when we seemed lost on what scents we wanted more or less of. There are A LOT of scents to choose from. She was very honest with us about how it smelled and what we should or shouldn't add anymore of. My husband and I, with the cost of the experience, got to make our very own label for our bottles with our Monogram from our wedding. This was one of our favorite experiences in Nashville and would 100% go again. It made our 12 year anniversary perfect.

I scheduled an evening to go with a friend, and we were delighted to find we were the only ones there. A private experience really is as they claim. We had dozens of fragrances to choose from, expert help, and a huge bottle each when we left. I will absolutely do this again and again and again.

A couple of us girls went and did the perfume & candle workshop. We had an absolute blast! The owners are so personable and fun to char with. High recommend! While we waited on our candles to set we went around the corner to the vintage shop and down the street a little to the crystal shop. Everyone was so friendly and we absolutely will be back! Sams Sports Grill is a must visit too! You sit right on the water in the marina. Food and service is great!

Wow - Tracy and team totally exceeded our expectations! They made the intimate bachelorette surprise and in hotel experience truly memorable. Tracy was incredibly communicative before the booking answering questions, prepping and planning, and then hands on with details down to helping to personalize our labels. We did the candle and perfume class for 4 of us and it was the perfect number for one hotel room, even with Tracy and her helper (apologies I forgot his name, but awesome gent as well). The perfume/scent experience was so fun to see how each of us did such different combinations that truly represented our personalities. I would totally do this again on our next trip. Great souvenirs (TSA looked at the candle briefly) and a wonderful way to remember our trip. Most of all Tracy was a blast and her energy and fun levels were contagious. The quality of the products were lovely and my home smells amazing weeks after as my candle has been a great way to bring a little bit of Nashville's charm back to California

The Story Fragrance Library is owned by a husband and wife who know a good deal about notes and fragrances and helped us formulate our fragrances to our liking. When we wanted to tone something down or felt like we were missing something they were able to nail what we wanted when we described what we were looking for. We also got to customize our fragrance name and label. Would do this again and will likely be bad again soon!

I chose Story Fragrance Library first because it was the most affordable option for the amount of product you got to take home. But the experience!! It was so phenomenal. The owners quickly felt like family, so kind and welcoming while they walked us through the fragrance making process. They were helpful in guiding but also let us have total control over what our final product smelled like. I was shocked to find out that they are the only place in the country to allow you to use unlimited numbers of fragrances, as most places only allow 2-3. I ended up using 6-8 and the scent came out gorgeously complex! The studio was in such a good location and the session was totally private! Me and my friend went for my birthday and we had the best time. Definitely will be returning in the future!🤍

She was so fun to talk to and hear about her background story. We got to customize our perfumes however we wanted and create our own labels as well. Could not recommend this place more and we will hold this experience closely with the women in our family.

I visited as part of a Bachelorette party during the last week of June - everyone chose to do a perfume and we all had a GREAT experience! We were originally to meet with Tracy but due to personal - and completely understandable - circumstances, James led our party instead. Stepping into Story, we were met with a mixture of fragrances. It was a very pleasant smell, and by no means was it overwhelming. James spoke to the high quality of the oils and guided us as we each created our personal fragrances. This man is a wizard. His keen ability to make recommendations - a little drop here, couple more there, a couple pleasantly-surprising recommendations - demonstrated his vast knowledge of not only fragrance but the customer experience as well. 10/10 would recommend paying a visit (they do candles and bathrooms that won't stain your bathtub too!) - everyone had a blast and we all walked away with something unique and personal to us. Beyond that, Tracy and James are incredible people; point blank. The price point is exceptionally fair - I'd much rather create my own fragrance and get a top-notch experience than spend twice as much for the same volume in a retail store. To cap it off, James really hit home as he checked in with us for our trip and in a nutshell encouraged us to stick together and not take drinks from strangers. Although I don't think he has many more years on me, his caring and fatherly energy made for an incredible and comforting experience. I learned a lot about how fragrances are made — for example, I didn’t even realize every cologne or perfume is built around three basic layers: the **top notes, mid notes, and base notes**. That’s what creates the depth and complexity of the scent. Pretty fascinating. Because I wanted something a little different, I actually used **AI to help design a recipe**, and they had a blast helping me bring it to life. It was such a fun, creative, and personal experience. I truly can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re in town, definitely check them out. You may want to call ahead or book online since they stay busy — Nashville is the Bachelorette capital of the world, after all — but it is absolutely worth taking the time to visit.

Brought in my 15 year old and her best friend as a belated Christmas gift from Nana...and we loved every second of our experience! Being greeted at the door with the sweetest poodle, and then another 4 legged friend who honestly is now my spirit animal. When we were greeted by the owner, he took charge and walked the girls through their experience. They had the freedom to make their selections and the owner was there for any questions. When it came time to mix, he guided them through the steps, explaining about their selections and how to layer precisely. We walked out with some very happy teenagers (#miracleshappen) and will be back!

Tracey and James are amazing! We visited their store and took the perfume class in Nashville. While seeing them, we realized that we actually had visited them before at their old store location in Savannah 2 years ago! Their pups Holly & Shot are the cutest employees! Definitely recommend visiting them, it was a highlight of our trip!

YOU HAVE TO COME HERE!!!! I researched all the custom perfume making options in Nashville and this one stood out to me and I’m so glad I booked it. Amazing customer service and amazing scents, it was so hard to narrow down to my top 6 that I will definitely be back to make a perfume of my other favorites. They were very patient and let us smell all the scents and helped us narrow down our tops and told us what would smell good together when we needed to add a scent. You actually get to make it yourself and be apart of the process not just picking the scents. We also had this perfume we purchased in Greece that we only got a sample size of and my mom wants more so they are going to try to replicate the scent and we will order it. They also have the recipes for other perfumes so we’ll be ordering more and of course visiting the next time we’re in Nashville!! 10/10, 5 stars!

This was amazing!! It was so fun and easy. I love that I got to do mode on my own without being confused! My perfume smells exactly like I wanted and my bottle was customized and gorgeous! Overall perfect experience with a great price and super fun activity. We got to smell many scents we love and picked our faves. She helped us combine them perfectly and helped pick the perfect base scent! She is very patient and there is PUPPY DOGS!!! 2 little doggy’s you can see and hang out with. I loved it and so did my fam! Great girls day or guys day. Definitely coming back!

Literally one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. It was calm and easy to do. Me, my boyfriend and his sister came in to make our own customizable perfumes/colognes and every single one smelled amazing even though my boyfriend picked like 20 scents to put in. You get to pick your own customizable scents and there’s so many. If you need any help and you feel like you’re missing something you will get assistance and overall it was amazing. Definitely gonna be coming back to try the candlemaking .

The experience is amazing but the staff is really what makes it so much better especially the kindness the knowledge both staff owners knew was absolutely incredibly phenomenally they know what they are doing. Please if your looking to make a perfume come visit them. Best experience ever!!

This was hands down one of the most fun experiences me and my husband had in Nashville. Just being able to create your own custom scent is such a cool and fun experience but also being able to learn the knowledge behind the perfumes you see in stores. The husband and wife that own it were the kindest people ever, their super cute dogs are just and added bonus. Hand down this is a place I would and will travel for just to it experience again!

My best friend and I are obsessed with fragrance and perfumes so we wanted to experience making our own during our annual bestie holiday trip! The owner’s husband was so nice and friendly! He gave us a run down of the store, talked about his wife (the owner) accomplishments, and the history. It was an overall amazing experience and he was super knowledgeable about how to enhance our note choices. We weren’t rushed and we left super excited and happy! 100/10 experience. Would do again in a heart beat.

My friend and I were in Nashville for an event, and she found this place. It's completely adorable! Tracy is the owner, and she could not have been sweeter or more knowledgeable about her craft. We each wanted to duplicate our favorite fragrances, and both she and her husband were so helpful trying to match the scents. Directions were clear and easy to follow, even for nervous me, haha, I was so afraid to get too much of something but she was so calm and helpful, explaining every step of the process and the why behind it. Highly highly recommend this place for any special event, or even just a couple of friends looking for something fun to do! PS: Her playlist was *chef's kiss*!

Tracy was so wonderful!! We booked this experience last minute for a bachelorette trip and could not be more happy that we did. When you get there Tracy walks you through the process and helps you design the engraving on the bottle and then you get started with picking your scents. There is so much variety in scents and she was so knowledgeable. We have a bunch of overthinkers in our group and she helped all of us get to an end product that we were obsessed with. We all felt cared for and like we got a personal experience even being in a group. It was so fun and I will be coming back to make my own wedding scent! James engraved the bottle and did a wonderful job, also very friendly!!!! If you are going back and forth on whether you should go do not hesitate. I do not usually do reviews but this was a 157654/10 experience!

My friends and I visited Story Fragrance Library during our spring break and it ended up being one of the highlights of our break. At first I wasn’t confident that I would be able to make a perfume I actually liked, but James was amazing and helped guide me and my friends through the whole process. He was incredibly patient with us as we tried different scents and explained how everything works, and you can really tell how knowledgeable and passionate he is about fragrances. James was also so sweet and welcoming, which made the experience feel relaxed and fun instead of overwhelming. We didn’t get to meet his wife Tracy but he spoke about her so warmly that you could clearly see how much he loves her, which added such a personal and genuine touch to the place. Overall it was an awesome experience and we loved it so much. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable activity in Nashville.

Story Fragrance Library is so welcoming and friendly. We came here for my best friend’s bachelorette and we had such an amazing time. The owners are very helpful in exposing how fragrances are made, what scents go together, and ensuring your getting your money worth. The staff were very accommodating in shipping the brides perfume bottle for engraving. Will 10/10 come here again when i run out of my new favorite scent.

Came here to celebrate my mom and best friends birthdays! It was so much fun. We each made our own custom scent and got a good size bottle to put it in! We definitely plan on coming back in the future to do this again.

This was the best experience of the whole trip! The scents were beautiful with lots and lots of variety, the atmosphere was wonderful and picturesque. This set our whole bachelorette up for success, everytime we were about to go out we had to put on our signature perfume. Tracy was truly amazing from beginning to end, even when I screwed up the reservation she was right there to help me out. I'm coming back to Nashville just so I can do this again!

It was so fun to go through and pick all of the scents for our individual fragrances and we all came up with such different ideas (to wear to the wedding!).
