My family and I had an amazing day on the Half-Day Colorado River Kayak Tour, and our guide, Emma, could not have been more friendly, professional, and hospitable. From start to finish, everything was handled for us, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy the experience. Emma was incredibly knowledgeable about the Colorado River and the surrounding area, sharing interesting information throughout the tour while making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. She even let our family have an impromptu water gun battle after lunch! The water guns on the kayaks were definitely the cherry on top. We loved the tour so much, and we were so impressed with Emma, that my husband is already planning to do it again next month when he returns to Las Vegas with his high school buddies. He'll be requesting Emma as his guide! If you're looking for a fun, well-organized, and unforgettable way to experience the Emerald Cave and Colorado River, I highly recommend this tour. It was a fantastic family adventure and one we'll be talking about for a long time.

Fantastic tour! Absolutely stunning scenery. Our tour guide Faith was fabulous - her knowledge was incredible and she made the tour an unforgetible experience. The mermaid costume was very unexpected and the water guns were hilarious fun! This is a great way to spend a few hours escaping the bright lights of the strip. This was one of the best guided tours we have ever done - mainly due to our amazing guide - thanks Faith for a wonderful trip!

Highly recommended! We were picked up from our hotel right on time. During the ride Octavio was full of wonderful information about the area, history, the Colorado River, and the Hover Dam. When we arrived at the river, everything was ready to go, we just had to put on our life jackets and go. We had never Kayaked before and it was fun and easy. Our guide was Brianna and she was wonderful. The views were beautiful, we even saw 4 big horn sheep drinking by the edge of the water. The Emerald Cave was a short wait but worth it. Within 12 hours, the picture she had taken had been sent to us. We will absolutely go back again.

We had the Best day on the water with Ryan as our tour guide! He is very knowledgeable and has the best personality. The scenery was gorgeous and our 4 mile ride was very easy. Would 100% recommend this trip to get off the strip.

It was a great experience. Our tour guide Ray was very patient with our group since this was everyones first time kayaking, and the scenery was beautiful. We did the morning tour, and finished just before peak time so the weather was perfect. The water was comfortable to swim in and the weather was not too hot, just right. Overall we all had a blast and would recommend it to anyone willing to try something new.

Salvatore was an amazing tour guide. His tutorial on kayaking was good and he pointed out several animals to us along Lake Mead.

We paddled to the emerald cave and beyond earlier this week on a 6.2 mile trip led by Faith. The whole tour massively exceeded our expectations from the high quality kit, these are top end kayaks, to the safety aspects. Faiths knowledge of the local area, the snacks, lunch, free photos shared after the trip and that Faith took the consensus of the group into consideration into how far we went. I would love to return and explore the area more and wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

What a great time we had yesterday kayaking up and down the Colorado River/Black Canyon with our very informative guides Faith and Ryan. They were very cautious with our group at first, but realized we all were experienced kayakers, so they were able to spend more time informing us about the environment, ecosystem and fish hatchery located on the river. We took a small walking tour and learned alot about the native plants, rocks and minerals, along with some of the invasive species too. The people at Evolution Expedition Kayaking were so wonderful to work with. We thought the tour may get canceled and they communicated with us every step of the way. The weather wasn't perfect, but all we had to deal with was some wind and the day turned out perfect. If your ever in Vegas and need to get outside, I would strongly recommend Evolution Expedition, they are a class act and we plan on going back again next year! Thanks Ryan and Faith for such a great adventure.

My group had a wonderful time on our Lake Mead sunset paddle with Ray. We were worried about the heat but Ray planned so well, bringing water guns so we could spray each other as well as hydration packs, tons of water and even Capri Suns. We’re novice kayakers but he always made us feel safe and was very patient. Once we got to the small island, the weather was significantly cooler so we had no concerns about the heat. Ray brought sandwiches and snacks and set up the fire so we could roast s’mores. He gave us tons of great info about the area, pointing out geological and man-made features. The best part was I was worried about paddling and capturing photos of our group so Ray took tons of pics for us and at the end, just airdropped them. He really went all out to make sure we had a great time.

Ryan was a great guide, picked me up on time, took the time the explain every step of the way. He had the group interacting with nature on the stops. It was amazing, I had an incredible time. Thanks Ryan.

I booked this trip as a day trip from Vegas with my boyfriend and we had a great time. Dylan was our tour guide and he went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and made sure we had a great time. He showed us all of the hidden treasures of Lake Mead, provided snacks and waters, took us on a mini hike while teaching the group all about the local plant life and history, and showed us all of the wildlife in the area. He was also happy to take pictures for us and for the group! We can’t wait to come back and will be sure to only adventure on the trips that have Dylan as our tour guide!

My sister and I had a wonderful time on the Kayak Tour. Everything was very organized from start to finish. Customer service was top rate - Kristin always responded promptly to all my questions and requests. Our guide for the day, Maggie, was delightful! She had lots of info to share about the river, took our group on a little hike where we learned about some of the plants, was super competent, very helpful throughout, brought lots of snacks (and the lunch, which was good) and water to make sure that we were hydrated. I definitely recommend this kayak tour!

The sunset kayak tour was beautiful! Roy was very kind and attentive, ensuring our family of nine had a good time. We learned a lot about Lake Mead and the Hoover Dam. Once we arrived at our destination, about one mile from the launch, we had spectacular views all around. We enjoyed a nice sandwich and roasted smores over a fire—it was delightful! The kayak trip back as the sun was going down was magical, with all the kayaks lit up to help guide us in the dark. I recommend this for all families with children ages three and up!

Our family has been on countless excursions, trips, and guided tours over the past decade. To say this was our best would be a massive understatement. We spent a week in Vegas and all we could talk about was this tour. Every aspect was planned out accordingly and made for a smooth trip start to finish. My family did the four hour kayak trip and it was fantastic. Ryan was a great guide showing us a lot of interesting sights. The paddling was fun, easy enough for all of us to do while still keeping everyone in awe of the beautiful scenery. I would highly recommend it!

Our tour guide Chris, was a blast to tour with. He was highly knowledgeable about the region, and is highly adaptable to kayakers of various skill levels. He was super helpful, encouraging, friendly and a great offroader. Overall, highly recommend as a must-do activity if you’re planning to see the Hoover Dam, or travelling to Las Vegas

Ray and Faith were remarkably informative of local knowledge regarding Las Vegas and surrounding areas, especially climate concerns. Our time was so awesome! We did a sunset kayak tour, and our guides provided a safe and profound experience! Dinner, fire, smores, laughs, peace, all complete with a kayak lit paddle back. We left like they were part of the family! Breathtaking.

Five of us close friends signed up for the night paddle on Lake Mead with Dylan. 100/5 stars. The paddle was easy and relaxing, and swapping stories by the campfire with s’mores was so fun. After dark, we paddled back. The view of the stars and the quiet calmness of the lake was amazing. Dylan was funny, chill, and very knowledgeable about the area. HIGHLY recommend!

We did the Lake Mead sunset paddle on 01/17/24. Our guide was Steven and he was awesome!! really made sure that our safety was his priority as well as making sure the entire experience was memorable for us. We did not have to worry about a single thing except showing up which he even made sure to call ahead of time and give us proper directions on where to meet him. Steven brought along sandwiches with drinks and snacks, gave us some time to enjoy the view and our food while he set up our campfire and allowed us to make smoress which he had brought the supplies for as well! Very relaxing and fun experience, as I mentioned we felt completely safe having Steven as our tour guide and he made sure we had a lot of fun as well. Steven also took pictures of us along the experience and had them sent over to us that night, which was great! Looking forward to booking the kayak experience to emerald cave soon as well!

First time on Lake Mead for a sunset tour. Our guide was Ryan Hannah, I might be his Mom, however I was very anxious going at night. It’s funny how the roles change ya know, he assuring me Mom it’s ok, he’s giving me snacks of gold fish and a juice box. Oh my. Awesome experience. Peaceful!! Thanks so much Evolution Expeditions.

This was the best part of the trip to Las Vegas. Went with some friends and it was incredible! The guide Aaron knew so much about the area and it plants and animals. We had so much fun with the water guns. The views were epic and the lunch was better than anything I've had on an outdoor tour before. Can't recommend Evolution enough!

Great tour! Chris was exceptional. Very knowledgeable about the area, friendly and outgoing. 2 mile paddle to the base of the Hoover dam. We stopped for lunch and a swim then paddled back. Saw big horn sheep. There is a 30 min off road route to get to the launch area. In a jeep it would’ve been more fun. Overall would recommend this tour!

I just wanted to say what an amazing time we had on our trip with Aaron...it was so nice to see the desert close up on our decent down to the put in...once on the water the giant cliffs and the Hoover dam were just awe inspiring..such a slice of time and history...just wanted to thank Evolution Expeditions for an amazing time...

This experience was absolutely AMAZING !!! My niece was visiting me from out of state. I was looking for things to do and kayaking popped up. Neither of us had ever done this. So glad I chose Evolution!!! Salvatore is a FANTASTIC guide!!! We had sooo much fun. We learned a lot of different things about the nature and history of Lake Mead.
