As an Asheville wedding photographer and videographer, I spend a lot of time at venues across Western North Carolina, and Durrant Farms Estate really stands out. The property has this rare balance of wide open space and intentional design. The light out here is beautiful throughout the day, and there is so much variety for portraits without ever needing to leave the property. I would absolutely recommend Durrant Farms Estate to any couple looking for a relaxed, nature driven wedding in the Asheville area.

Durrant Farms Estate was truly perfect for our whimsical garden wedding. The estate is visually stunning, with so many picturesque views of the sky, pond and forest. We had a very specific vision, and the grounds were exactly what we wanted. The view was stunning in our photos! The amenities and accessibility were another factor in our decision. The cottage provided a beautiful space for me and my bridesmaids to get ready together in. The parking was well organized and nicely hidden. As well as walkways to restrooms that our older relatives could get to without trouble. Tom and Whitney even offered transportation on the 4x4 for those who needed it! The best part of our wedding at Durrant Farms Estate was by far Tom and Whitney. They are so passionate, charming and went the extra mile for us in so many ways. Their care was felt in every part of our day. They are wonderful collaborators, with us as well as our vendors. It felt like everybody was so connected. We ended the day feeling like our dreams came true, and it couldn’t have been better!

This place is better than their pictures! It was like HGTV, Williams Sonoma/Pottery barn and more all wrapped up in one. It has an inviting fresh clean look with high end upgrades, furniture and beds were wonderful. Location is just right, and a small walk to beach. It’s also close to take the ferry boat. Golf cart was a plus and love that as well. It just happened to be cold during our time there, but we enjoyed it all! The host was very responsive and helpful. I give this a 10 out of 10!

We had a lovely stay at Jodie’s place! We stay at Carolina Beach once every few years. This was a great location a little quieter than being right near the boardwalk, but that golf cart came really in handy to bring things to the beach and to take a quick trip down to get Britt’s donuts! The place is very clean and spacious and perfect for our family. We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful home! Super close to the beach, host was quick to respond to any questions. Awesome that they had an ice machine and golf cart available for use with parking pass.

We had a wonderful stay in Carolina Beach! The home was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing family vacation. The location was great and made it easy to enjoy the beach, boardwalk, restaurants, and everything the area has to offer. Our host was responsive, helpful, and made the whole process smooth from start to finish. We really appreciated the hospitality and would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Carolina Beach.

We couldn’t have asked for a better beach getaway! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. We especially loved how close it was to the beach and how peaceful the area was. The host was wonderful to work with and communicated everything clearly. We made so many great memories here and would definitely love to come back!

Great stay!!

We stayed here on our family vacation and it was absolutely awesome! The ourdoor space and pool were a huge bonus. My kids played outside nearly all day everyday between the lake and dock areas to the pool and hot tub. We ate our meals outside and grilled every night. The house is located right off the main channel of the lake and super close to several popular pool/swim-up bars. The linens were clean, house was also super clean and cozy. The windows in the living room look out on the lake and it was so nice to wake up every morning and enjoy coffee with a view! Chris & Sam were also very responsive and kept us updated on everything during our stay. We can't wait to come back!

Awesome spot with a lovely home. Plenty to do even if the weather doesnt cooperate. Great communication with the hosts too.

Very comfortable home. Game room and saltwater pool is why I selected this home and it did not disappoint. Host was available anytime I had questions.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! House set up perfectly for our group! The garage was such a fun hangout spot for the kids! When I forgot my entire bag of personal care items and jewelry, Sam went above and beyond to get it shipped back to my home. We had a wonderful experience and look forward to coming back again!

We had a great time. I was disappointed that the pool was not available the first night. However everything else was good. I do wish that vacation rentals would just have a plain old cheap coffee pot. Some of the kuerigs are too slow when you want a lot of coffee. Thanks for everything. Sam and Chris are the best!

this house was so beautiful, we'll laid out and clean. It had a wonderfully stocked kitchen. The 3 gathering places inside along with all multiple outside my family rooms of space. we went with my 3 adult children and their partners. Plenty of space for all. pool and hot tub were so amazing we rarely left the air baby. highly recommend!!!

Definitely recommend staying at their cottage if you want a fun and relaxing trip!! And being able to feed and hangout with their alpacas was a plus!! SO much fun!!

We won a free stay at the cabin for a weekend. The property is beautiful and the cabin was perfect for me and 2 friends. The alpacas were so cute and getting to feed them treats was a highlight of our stay. They stocked the airbnb with bread, butter & eggs and it had everything we needed. I would absolutely return - the hosts are so kind and accommodating.

Very beautiful and serene

My wife and I had a great time at Alpaca brunch! The property is amazing in the middle of the mountains. Whitney was a fantastic host and had everything thoughtfully planned out. She even had a cheat sheet about all the alpacas with the treats they like. The biscuits were amazing and sourced from a local bakery. The alpacas were extremely friendly and playful. I would highly recommend coming here, truly a unique experience.

We visited Durrant Farms for brunch with alpacas and it was an amazing experience! The breakfast spread was generous with the best biscuits ever. We had a perfect spot to sit in the shade, but of course the alpacas were the highlight! We had plenty of treats to hand out with our large group! Can’t recommend it enough!

I took my bachelorette party to Brunch with the Alpacas and we had an absolute blast! They communicated well and promptly while planning. Additionally, before our visit they had clear instructions on how to prepare, a map, and instructions. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with wide open views of the mountains and the rest of the property. We were kindly greeted upon arrival by Whitney and got introduced to the alpacas and llamas, given treats to feed the animals, and then we were left to enjoy a private brunch at picnic tables near the animals. We enjoyed the best, still warm biscuits, plus fruit, jam, iced coffee, and juice. They had some other good snacks as well! They were also able to get us a gluten free option for the biscuits and we were welcome to bring our own extra food and drinks, which we enjoyed as well. After our meal, we spent even more time with the animals which was amazing!!! After we got cleaned up, we made our way down to the pavilion where we were able to see the property more, use clean restrooms, and purchase items from their merch stand. Overall, my friends and I had an absolutely wonderful time, the alpaca and llamas were soooo cute and sociable, and the Durrants were incredibly welcoming to my group! I would absolutely come again, and I would love to explore the other things Durrant Farms offers, such as event space and stays!

Our stay at Chambers Bay was terrific. The house was beautiful and had nearly everything we needed for the whole weekend. It was so nice to have a pool and lake access. Also, the host Kristen was extremely helpful and welcoming leading up to and during our stay. We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I went to Durrant Farms for the Brunch with alpacas. Whitney and Tom were excellent hosts, along with the alpacas! It was such a fun experience and would highly recommend it for all the animal lovers out there.

Come for the biscuits, stay for the alpacas, and don’t be surprised if you leave with alpaca hair on your shirt and a full heart."
