I really enjoyed the tour. It was very informative and interesting. My tour guide Baylor articulated very well and was an excellent narrator. I highly recommend the tour. Great fun at a great price.
If you are someone who enjoys history mixed with urban legend this is the tour for you. We covered a nice tolerable distance of about 1.5 miles. We had the opportunity to stop at the Palmer House for a adult drink break which was appreciated not only for the facilities but also the beautiful architecture. I enjoyed the stories being told by our tour guide Davey. 100% recommend this tour!
My job booked this walking tour as a team outing on Oct 3rd. Baylor was our tour guide. She was fun and very informative. I loved learning things about my city. We had a beautiful day for our short stroll. I like the break in between at the Palmer House. Overall good tour, I would recommend. Pictures of some of the sites we saw.
We had an incredible time on the Chicago Gangster and Ghost Tour! Our guide, Baylor, was fantastic—informative, fun, and an amazing storyteller. She brought the history to life in a way that was entertaining, immersive, and unforgettable. There is a fair amount of walking, but even with a bad knee, it was completely doable. And honestly, it was worth every single step. This was one of the best immersive history lessons I’ve ever experienced! We had such a great time and it was worth every penny. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago—or even locals who want to learn something new about Al Capone. Don’t miss it!

Max was knowledgeable and entertaining. We learned a lot about Chicago’s history as well as things we didn’t know about Al Capone. Recommend for anyone visiting Chicago who wants learn more about the city.
In case I haven’t shared this - there’s no time like the present! I went on the Chicago Gangsters & Ghosts tour on June 5, 2024 when I was visiting Chicago for a travel conference. Connor did a PHENOMENAL job. His extensive knowledge, sense of humor, and spot-on recommendations made this a tour I still think about over a year later! I highly recommend it for those who enjoy a little macabre and want to see some of the iconic sites around Chicago in a different way!!

Fantastic Tour with Willis! Willis was an incredible guide on the Gangsters and Ghosts Tour! His storytelling was wonderful—equal parts spooky, funny, and full of Chicago history. He made the whole experience engaging and fun from start to finish. If you’re taking this tour, hope you get Willis—he’s the best!
Let's start off by saying im not one for tours. But MAX was amazing, he made it fun, he wasn't monotone and his passion for the tour was evident! I'd look for more tours by MAX if I was to do another or request him for this one!

Willis was a great tour guide with really interesting details about cool spots in the city. Got to check out a lot of places I would’ve never known about. Would have appreciated more details about the tour logistics upfront at booking (length, route, not ending at starting location, break midway through, etc) but really enjoyed the content otherwise.

Review for the WALKING TOUR: The stories and the locations were not the only highlights, but the skill and presentation of the storyteller as well. Sophia was amazing and engaging! We saw a deal at Groupon for $28 and we decided to take a chance on the activity. You don’t go in any buildings, except one - the Palmer House Hotel. It was a good place for a break in the tour, though no scary stories were told about it. Parking: Use spot hero beforehand to find the best deal closest to Hoyt’s tavern (meet up spot). Picked the spot near Dunkin Donuts for $10.99 and 5 min walk away. FYI: The tour does NOT circle back close to where they originally started. We ended the tour about 20 min walk away. So just keep that in mind. We were fine with it and even got to stop by one of our favorite Gelato places in Paris, Amorino on the way back. Discovered they have a store here along the walking tour.
