We had a great date here today! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We decided to make our own candle and loved the scents so much we got a second premade candle as well. You start by picking out your favorite scents. There’s a huge amount of scent choices and you don’t have to worry if your favorites go together since the staff will help with that! Then you start mixing your scent and once you’ve found your perfect match, you make your candle. The process was fun, easy and really unique. My only critique is that the label you get to design doesn’t get placed on the front of your candle, but on the bottom. They put a big “Candle Chemistry” label on the front. Truthfully, I removed it because I’d prefer the clean glass/my label instead. It cost $40 for a 120hr candle (custom) and about $20 for the premade (60hr) prickly pear candle. For the high quality materials they use, I definitely think it’s worth the price!

This a really cool little spot. Stephanie, not sure if that’s how she spells it, was very helpful with mixing the different scents and providing her input on which scents went well together. Definitely a great little date idea. They have a lot of different scents and you get a chance to mix and match and change your mind if you don’t like them. One thing to know is you won’t go home with them right away, you will need to come back in a few hours to pick them up. But it’s worth it. They have different types of candles and things you can do. Honestly I was surprised with how well priced it was especially for a custom candle. Definitely recommend giving it a try!!!

Eeekkk!!! This place is SO much fun!!! 3 of us were brought here for our birthdays, and I can say, my DIL hit gold!!! The smells, the chemistry, the oils, stirring, finished product....Wonderful!!! Such a great idea and so interactive. My granddaughters had an amazing time.

It was great! So much fun to choose scents! (Not a place for people who are sensitive to scents). I loved choosing the scents. The finished candles smell even better!

I was here for a birthday celebration, which Candle Chemistry is the perfect venue for it! This is my second time doing this, so I went with an intention lolll - a candle and a car scent, that’s it! The wall full of candle scents could have gotten me stuck for an hour, but I had an idea in mind, so I went for a combo of 3 scents. I was so glad of the outcome. At one point, I thought I ruined my mix, but our assigned specialist was able to help me recover it! Woot! The birthday girl and her family had so much fun after their first experience and they already want to go back! As far as the value, depending on what you want to make, it goes from $25+ per person, which is very reasonable for a DIY experience. Keep in mind that if you are making a candle, you’ll need to wait 2 hours for it to set, so it’s best that you plan ahead of time a day out for a lunch or coffee (or even shopping!) around the area.

Libby was AMAZING and made my experience with my bestie. This was something we’ve been wanting to do and learning that its family, specially sibling owned across the area made it even better. The customer service and the options were unmatched! Would definitely come back!

This was such a cool experience - even better than I was expecting. I didn’t realize the setting was kind of like a bar. I came here with my friend, and there were other people here on dates and in groups. There were more scent options than I was expecting! I didn’t realize until the end that you can also create a scent for body lotion, soap, scrub, and body butter (such good quality). My candle came out smelling way better than I even expected!!! So did my friends. We love them!

I discovered Candle Chemistry at Scottsdale Quarter and absolutely loved the experience. Walking in, I was greeted by a bright and inviting space where I could custom-blend my own candle scent from dozens of fragrance oils, choose my jar style, and watch them pour the wax right in front of me. The staff took the time to guide me through scent options, and the whole process felt fun and personal. My candle turned out beautifully, and I loved that I could wait around the area while it cooled (and then explore Scottsdale Quarter). If you’re looking for a creative outing or a personal-touch gift in the Scottsdale area, Candle Chemistry is a standout.
