10000/10 stars — this tour was amazing! Dan Bartlett was our guide and he was exceptional start to finish. Highly recommend asking for him! He was very accommodating, took awesome photos of me and my friend, even made some great suggestions for the best spots. The UTVs were UNBELIEVABLY fun! It was my first time on one and it was so much more adventurous than I thought it would be. The trails are incredible, the waterfall was a great stop for a swim, the Sand Dunes were my favorite part! We skipped the observation point in favor of doing more trails— think it was the move!
We booked Robb’s guided UTV sunset tour and it was an absolute blast! The views were stunning, the dunes were unreal, and we got to absolutely rip the machines — fast, fun, and safe. Robb mixed in some technical rock climbs too, which made it even more epic. One of the best experiences our group’s ever done — highly recommend!
Great guided drive thru some of Utah’s most beautiful scenery. Sunset cruise has incredible views of the mountains, sky and cityscapes. Great for beginners (like me) and experienced riders as well. Machines are very well maintained and trail safety is stressed. Guides are knowledgeable, well trained and have the experience to ensure we had the best time ever. If you have ever wondered what a utv trail ride is about, just go with these folks and you won’t want to stop. We will definitely go again!
Highly recommend the dark sky night UTV tour! I actually had no idea that I was due to drive my own UTV with my wife. We had an absolute blast to get some hands-on experience operating these very capable off-road vehicles up rocks, up and over dunes, and down single track trails. Kudos to Brian for being a great UTV guide and a great person to interact with. In my opinion, this is a must do when visiting the area. You won't regret it and won't regret going to Mad Moose :)
Hands down, our 3-hour Light the Night UTV tour with Dan was seriously one of the BEST experiences of our lives. He’s the kind of guide who makes you feel like you’re riding with a friend super friendly, funny, and he knows the desert like the back of his hand. Every turn, every stop, he had us in awe and laughing too. Just an absolute legend. You can tell he loves what he does, and it made the entire tour next-level. We’re still buzzing from the thrill of it all and already talking about our next trip back. Riding with Mad Moose again is a must… and when we do it’s Dan or bust!
This was the coolest experience ever. Such a beautiful place to ride a UTV. I’m going to be raving about this to everyone. Everyone there went above and beyond when it came to my safely. I knew exactly where to go and how to ride. Which is everything because I never did something like this! 10/10 experience!
What an absolutely incredible experience at Sand Hollow! The UTV ride was beyond our expectations — breathtaking views, thrilling trails, and nonstop fun. Don and Jeff from Mad Moose were amazing: professional, friendly, and made sure we had the best time ever. Their guidance and energy really elevated the whole adventure. We had such a blast and can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend Mad Moose to anyone looking for the ultimate off-road experience.
Just returned from Toquerville Falls in a UTV from Mad Moose Rentals. What a fun adventure! Mad Moose thought of everything. The UTV was perfect and handled the terrain easily. Everything was included -- helmets, goggles, gas, routes. And, no cleaning fee when I brought it back covered in mind. They were super nice and very accommodating and helpful! I highly recommend renting from them.
My SIL and I had zero off-road experience. I wanted to do something Utah for her when we visited St. George. Mad Moose is it! We got great instruction that got us out of some serious binds - LISTEN to the instruction video and the instructors, even if you aren’t a newb, because deep sand is an issue that easterners don’t deal with! No one had to rescue us - remembered pro advice and had the time of our lives. We went for a short, 2 hour side-by-side and it was worth every penny. 10/10, would go again and recommend Mad Moose. Their vehicles are in good repair and they give you freedom to explore. We absolutely loved it. Bargain and a decades-long memory.
We loved our UTV sunset tour with Mad Moose! They helped us with our equipment and went over all the safety instructions before the tour. We had never been in a UTV before. We started with some easy turns on the sand dunes before the excitement began. Our comment throughout was "are we really going up that thing?" Thrilling and fun. Great photo op coming down a steep boulder (we were safely guided).The scenery and the sunset were magnificent.
This was the highlight of our Utah vacation. Dan went above and beyond to make sure we experienced a little bit of everything and a lot of fun. And if your goal is to get muddy, Dan will make sure you get ALL the good puddles! We hit a few where the splash completely covered our UTV, it was awesome! I highly recommend Mad Moose! The views were stunning and my daughters pure joy was worth every penny!
Best experience ever. 10/10 recommend. Renting from Mad Moose Rentals was SO easy from start to finish. Pickup was quick and smooth, everything was ready when we got there, and they made the whole process stress-free. The GPS already had maps loaded into the RZR, which was amazing because we could just ride and explore without worrying about getting lost. We even made it to the Flintstone House, which was seriously the coolest thing ever. The UTV itself was an absolute beast and handled everything perfectly. Riding the dunes, seeing all the views, and just cruising around was such a fun experience. If you’re thinking about renting a UTV in the area, do it, and book with Mad Moose. I’d 100% recommend them to anyone. We’re already talking about going back.
Great experience riding the UTVs. Cassie was a great guide! We enjoyed both the fast sand tracks and the rock crawling. Nice buggies with good equipment and radios. Took pictures a couple different places and enjoyed the views. Once it got dark enough to see the stars, Cassie was able to point out the constellations to us. Another trip over the top of huge rocks, twists of the sand tracks and down the sand slide on the way back. Very fun adventure. Would absolutely do it again
Loved our experience! From beginning to end, everything was absolutely perfect. Morgan and Regan were informative, friendly, and thorough. The UTVs went above and beyond our expectations, and they took us to some of the most breathtaking views we’ve ever seen. Highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for an unforgettable ride!
Booked a full-day UTV rental with Mad Moose back in April, and it ended up being one of my favorite adventure days ever. The whole process was a breeze — quick check-in, super helpful staff, and a clear walkthrough of everything we needed before we hit the trails. Once we got out there… WOW. Utah’s red sand, wide-open skies, and those insane rock formations made for a beautiful view.. Our UTV ran perfectly and handled the terrain great. We had an absolute blast and will 100% be back the next time we head out west!
There are a ton of UTV rental places in Southern Utah. The machines are the same/similar and the landscape is perfect for this no matter who you choose, but what set my experience apart was my Guide and the great customer service. Everyone from booking to the office staff, and especially my Guide Cassie. I had a great experience and would never go anywhere else. I was so hooked I came back 3 days in a row and they answered a TON of my questions along the way! I really appreciated having a female guide too. I am sure the male guides are great, but being a solo female traveler it was fun to have a female guide. Cassie clearly enjoys this and it felt more like hanging with a safe and knowledgeable friend vs. just being another customer. The machines themselves are in perfect working order and were ready well ahead of my appointment time. They also offer rentals without a guide and a variety of tours. I tailored my tours to what I wanted to learn and see since I had never done it before, but prefer rock crawling. The worst part about the whole thing was that I couldn't stay forever and keep exploring with Cassie. Their shop also had little bibs and bobs to buy if you want gloves or face wipes or whatever.
Our UTV trip was the highlight of our trip in Zion! Blake was a fantastic guide and was so down to earth. The views were stunning and we had plenty of stops along the way for pictures and to soak in the scenery. Setting up our own music on the UTV was such a perk- really added to the experience. We did the sunset ride and rode up to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset. Riding at night was also pretty fun. We did get fairly dusty but it was totally worth it.
This was one of the best utv rentals we’ve ever done. Super clean and new machines. Staff was awesome and got us in our machine in very little time. No hour long sessions before you ride. Helmets and goggles were actually usable. Goggles didn’t have scratches or a bunch of fog where you can’t see out of them. Conveniently located minutes away from sand hollow and all the trails you need to have an exciting day riding.
My daughter and I booked this 2-hr sunset UTV guided tour on a whim as we were leaving town early the next day. Best 2-hours we could have spent!! SO MUCH FUN!!! Robb was an amazing tour guide & we can’t wait to come back!
