About the neighborhood

We are located in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, in Sevier County, East of Gatlinburg. The Lodge overlooks the park, and sits on 25 private acres, with a gate. There are trails on the property only for you, and the view is really only of trees and mountains. Barely any other buildings in site, if any.

Getting around

We are just a few miles off of the 321 parkway, west of Gatlinburg. As you’d imagine, you don’t get these views without a bit of climbing. The roads are paved and relatively flat until you get to our road- Shady Gap Way. At this point it is a well-maintained gravel and dirt road that heads up the hillside. There are no steep drop-offs, and it isn't particularly windy. Our driveway is paved, and steep. it is not windy or "cliffy" at all. We recommend a 4WD vehicle, though we do it regularly in a Honda Civic, and most of our neighbors get around in golf carts. If you're dreaming of wide, flat, paved roads, this is not the cabin for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any steep roads?

The lodge is located at the end of a dirt road and sits on 25 private acres. While we do recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle for easier access, the nearest neighbor mainly goes up and down the road in a little golf cart. There are no steep drop offs or anything like that. Our guests generally find that once they’ve driven the road and driveway once during the day, they don’t have any concerns about it.

Do you have coffee machines available?

Yes! Our cabin is equipped with both a Keurig machine and a drip coffee maker.
