What you'll do:
Your group gets a private room for two hours, a two-mic setup, and 90,000+ songs on KaraFun. Pick your songs from an iPad or your own phone, dial up the monitor, and go. No audience, no open mic host, no strangers at the next table watching you attempt the bridge to a song you only know the chorus of. Your host sets everything up and stays close if you need anything. Bring your own drinks, bring food if you want it, and stay as long as the room is available. Most groups extend. The two hours goes faster than you think.

Rockabye Karaoke is New Orleans' only purpose-built private karaoke venue, opened in late 2025 by a lifelong private karaoke obsessive who couldn't figure out why the city didn't have one. Three rooms, professional sound and lighting, KaraFun's 90,000-song catalog, and a BYOB policy that keeps your group's total cost well below anything else in the market. The venue is tucked into the back courtyard of Merchant House at 1050 Calliope St, half a block off Magazine Street in the Lower Garden District. Hidden enough to feel like a find. Easy enough to get to from anywhere in the city.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does it actually cost for our group?
Rockabye is $15 per person per hour, plus a 20% service charge. For a group of 10 doing two hours, that's $360 total. No bar tab, no F&B minimum, no surprise charges at the end. Bring your own drinks and food and your group's total cost stays well below comparable experiences in the city.
What's the service charge for?
The 20% service charge covers the full cost of running your session: your host, the mixer package and all the supplies that come with it, paper goods, ice, and everything else that's set up and waiting when you walk in. It's not a tip line. Your host puts in real work to make the room right before you arrive and throughout your session. If they went above and beyond, they'll always appreciate a thank you, but it's never expected.
Can we decorate the room?
Yes. Let us know when you book and we'll talk through what works in the space. Balloons, banners, table décor, and custom signage all work well. We ask that nothing be adhered directly to the walls and that all decorations come with you when you leave. Need help sourcing décor or want a recommendation for a local decorator? Ask us when you book.
What mixers are included?
Every booking includes a mixer package with club soda, tonic, Coke, Diet Coke, and Sprite, plus ice and cups. Bring whatever you're drinking and the setup is ready when you arrive. If you have something specific in mind beyond the standard package, let us know when you book and we'll see what we can do.
What happens if we arrive late?
Your session starts at your booked time, not your arrival time. If the next booking allows, we'll do our best to give you every minute you paid for, but we can't guarantee it when rooms are back to back. Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early gives your host time to get you fully set up so you're singing from minute one.

What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 48 hours before your session receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours are not eligible for a refund but can be rescheduled based on availability. No-shows forfeit the booking.
How do we find you?
We're tucked into the back courtyard of Merchant House at 1050 Calliope St in the Lower Garden District. Enter through the courtyard gate off Calliope, walk toward the back, and look for the red light. You're not lost, you're just not there yet. If you get turned around, text us and we'll get you in.
Can we extend our session?
Yes, in 30-minute increments, subject to room availability. Your host will check in before your session ends and let you know if the room is open. If you know going in that you'll want more time, mention it when you arrive and we'll flag the room accordingly. Extensions are charged at the same per-person rate.
Which room is right for our group?
B-Side fits up to 10 guests, Side A fits up to 15, and the Greenroom fits up to 25. As a general rule, book the room that fits your confirmed headcount, not your maybe headcount. A tighter room with your whole crew sounds better and feels more like a show. If you're not sure, tell us your group size when you book and we'll put you in the right one.
