About this experience partner:
JADA was commissioned as a graduation gift in 1938. Her name is an acronym of the Axelson family names. She survived El Cordonazo—the only tropical storm to make California landfall in the 20th century—in 1939. For 23 years, she was homeported in Newport Beach, racing the Santa Barbara to Ensenada circuit. Five Transpac races to Hawaii. Guests from the golden age: Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Errol Flynn, John Wayne, and John Raitt. In modern years: Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman. She was a featured attraction at the 1996 Republican National Convention in San Diego. Today, she is owned and operated by Carole Noska, berthed at Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina on Harbor Island. JADA does not ask who you are. She already knows.
