Join us (Tawny & Allie!) for a fun, hands-on class where we dive into the art and science of perfumery. You'll learn how to smell and evaluate different scent notes, how to build a balanced fragrance, and walk away with a custom-blended perfume that's completely your own. Yes, this is for the men as well!

We’ll guide you step-by-step through the process, sharing tips and tricks along the way - you’ll get to play “nose” for the day!

Class Details: $60 per person Make one full-size 50ml bottle + one 10ml travel spray BYOB (wine, beer, etc. welcome!) No food, please—smelling is serious business

LiveYoung Candle Co. was born in 2018 out of a dream to build something meaningful with our family—something that smelled amazing, felt luxurious, and brought people together. What started in the basement of our home (yes, we turned the whole lower level into a candle studio!) has grown into a cozy brick-and-mortar shop just outside of downtown Frederick.

We're a mother-daughter duo (with more family now joining in!) who are obsessed with creating clean, non-toxic home fragrances that are as beautiful as they are better for you. We started this journey after one of our family members struggled with fragrance-related allergies—so we got deep into the science of candles and scents, and never looked back.

Our shop is all about connection, creativity, and clean ingredients. We host weekly candle, soap, and perfume-making classes that invite everyone—kids, friends, couples, and curious creatives—to make something they love, their way. Plus, nearly everything we make is refillable. From candles and room sprays to perfumes and lotions, you can bring your empties back for a refill at a lower price. Good for the earth, good for your wallet.
