What you'll do:

You'll spend two hands-on hours at Liveyoung Candle Co.'s brick-and-mortar studio in Frederick, MD, choosing your vessel, blending your scent, and pouring a candle you actually built yourself.

• Your vessel, your choice: You'll browse a selection of containers ranging from small votives to larger statement pieces and pick the one that fits your style before you pour a single drop of wax.

• Scent blending: Tawny and Allie walk you through the fragrance options and help you combine scents until the blend is exactly what you want to take home.

• Guided pour: Once your vessel and scent are locked in, you'll melt and pour your own wax with step-by-step guidance so the process feels approachable even if you've never made a candle before.

• BYOB welcome: You're encouraged to bring wine, beer, or seltzers and snacks to enjoy while you work, which makes the two hours feel more like a party than a class.

• Take it home: Your finished candle leaves with you the same day, packaged and ready to display or gift.

Liveyoung Candle Co. is a mother-daughter-run studio and shop in Frederick, Maryland, founded in 2018 after a family member's fragrance allergies pushed the team to study candle science from scratch. The company specializes in clean, non-toxic home fragrances and hosts weekly candle, soap, and perfume-making classes for adults, couples, and private groups. Nearly all of their products are refillable, and customers can return empties for a discounted refill.

• Ticket price is $38 per person and is non-refundable. All sales are final.

• Vessel cost is separate and paid at the end of class. Vessels range from $5 to $35 depending on size and design.

• Outside vessels are not permitted. Please do not bring your own container from home.
