We are Kaipo & Co, a Bay Area-based permanent jewelry company, specializing in delicate pieces that are custom-fitted and welded directly onto you for a personalized experience. We also offer a keychain charm bar where you can choose up to 5 charms that resonate with you to be added onto a keychain!

Travel fee: Travel fees apply based on location: $50–$150, depending on distance from us in South San Francisco (exact fee will be quoted at the time of booking)
The deposit is non-refundable if the party is canceled within 7 days
If the host spends less than $200 on jewelry, the remaining deposit cannot be refunded.

Keep it clean:
To avoid buildup, regularly wipe your jewelry using our soft cloth or wash with mild soap with warm water
Always thoroughly pat dry after getting wet
Avoid harsh chemicals:
Be cautious with cosmetics, perfumes, and lotions around the jewelry, as they can cause tarnishing
Take extra care when using bleach or other strong cleaning agents
Wear with care:
Your jewelry is safe in the shower, ocean, and pool—but rinse afterward to remove residue
Avoid high-stress activities that could pull or stretch the chain
Monitor for irritation:
If you notice or experience redness, itching, or discomfort, especially within the first week, consult a us as you may have a metal sensitivity
Maintenance checks:
Although it's welded, permanent jewelry can still wear over time. Periodically check for signs of stretching or thinning especially at the weld point
Professional removal:
If you ever need to remove it, do not cut it yourself. Contact us so that we can safely snip it at the weld point and you can save it for possible reattachment in the future

What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry refers to delicate chains that are custom-fit and welded directly onto the wearer. Examples are endless and can include bracelets, anklets, necklaces, rings, body chains, and so much more! There’s no clasp—it's meant to be worn all the time.
What materials are used?
We currently offer gold-filled, rhodium, and rose gold chains and charms. We have chosen them for their durability and resistance to tarnishing. All of our materials are hypoallergenic friendly and safe for most people with sensitive skin.
What are the differences between gold-filled, rhodium, and rose gold?
Gold-filled is a layered material made by bonding a thick layer of real gold (we offer 14k) to a base metal core to create a thicker and more durable chain. Rhodium is a rare, silver-white metal from the platinum family which is extremely shiny and reflective and gives a bright and polished finish. Rose gold is made by alloying pure gold with copper (and sometimes a bit of silver). The copper gives it that signature rosy hue. With proper care, our chains retain their shine and last without discoloring.
How long does the process take?
The welding process typically takes 10–15 minutes per piece.
Is it really permanent?
It’s designed to last but can be removed anytime with scissors or wire cutters if needed. Chains may wear over time, especially with heavy use, but they’re easy to repair or reattach.

Can I choose my own chain and charms?
Of course! You will be able to choose from a variety of chain styles and add charms or connectors for a personalized look.
Can I wear it through airport security or medical procedures?
Yes, it’s safe for airport security. For medical procedures like MRIs, you might need to remove it—check with your doctor. If needed, the chain can be cut and rewelded later.
Is it waterproof?
Yes, our jewelry has been tested in regular water, pools, and the ocean and have held up nicely. However, frequent exposure to chemicals like chlorine can cause wear over time.
What if it breaks or stretches?
Chains are delicate and may break with force. Save the chain if it breaks and we can help you re-weld it.
Is there an age requirement?
People of all ages can wear our jewelry. However, we do require a parent or guardian present for anyone under 18.
