Frequently Asked Questions
How do IVs work?
Intravenous therapy bypasses the GI (gastrointestinal) tract enabling your body to absorb 100% of the vitamins, nutrients & fluids. This method quickly and effectively replenishes your body, resulting in a more energized, healthier and better you!
What is an IV Bar?
An IV bar is a place where guests can receive IV therapy — starting with a 1 liter of normal saline and a combination of vitamins, minerals, NAD+ or antioxidants of your choice. At our IV bars you’ll find that we do things a little differently. Every IV is administered by an experienced registered nurse in a spa-like atmosphere. Each location is a welcoming and relaxing environment — with comfortable reclining chairs, TVs, blankets, tea, coffee, essential oils, soft music and even eye masks for those who truly want to relax while rehydrating. Wellness begins from within, and our teams are here to help you along your wellness journey.
Where is Hydrate IV Bar® located?
We have locations in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Utah, Texas, and are expanding across the US.
What is in an IV bag?
An IV bag consists of normal saline administered intravenously by experienced registered nurses. A unique combination of vitamins, minerals, NAD+ and antioxidants can be added to the IV bag by our RNs for additional benefits.

How much does IV therapy cost?
At Hydrate IV Bar, the cost of an IV starts at $99 for basic saline, and IV cocktails range from $129 to $259. For a full list of prices, check out our menu. We also offer IV memberships starting at $169/month for The Essential Membership, and $249/month for The Premium Membership. For students, memberships are $139/month. We also offer The Shot Pass, which gives members 50% off all injections! We pride ourselves in sourcing the best medical supplies for your services and ensure that we hire the most qualified registered nurses to administer them. While you may be able to find more affordable IVs elsewhere, please be aware that they may not have the same professionalism, experience, education, quality, and safety we do at Hydrate IV Bar.
How long does the process take?
IV Therapy typically takes around 45min-1 hour depending on your unique needs, the type of IV therapy you’re receiving, and whether or not your service requires a Medical Clearance Exam. We inform all clients to allow at least 1 hour for your IV appointments. For a quicker appointment, vitamin and NAD+ injections are available as well. If you’re at Hydrate IV Bar for NAD+ IV therapy, this can take anywhere between 1 to 4 hours, with most clients taking about 2 hours on average. NAD+ infusions are administered slower as NAD+ creates energy within your cells, and these infusions can feel differently. For those receiving NAD+ IV therapy, we recommend bringing a book, headphones, your computer, etc. to your appointment to enjoy while you sit back and relax! For all services, our staff will offer a complimentary beverage of your choice (tea, coffee, or water), and a blanket to keep you comfortable.
I'm under 18, can I get an IV?
Yes! With a few guidelines… Minors ages 14–17 can receive select IV services from our Mocktail Menu with parental consent. A legal guardian must be present for both the Medical Clearance Exam and during the service itself. Dosages and frequency differ from standard offerings. Please inquire with your home spa, as not all locations may offer these services. Student memberships may be purchased with parental consent.
Does IV therapy hurt?
IV therapy is generally a comfortable experience, though everyone’s pain tolerance is a bit different! There is usually a small pinch once the IV is inserted, then once the catheter is in place, the needle is removed and the IV infused comfortably. If desired, we can administer a numbing spray at the injection site prior to your IV Therapy insertion.
What are the potential side effects?
Other than feeling great afterwards, the IV Therapy side effects are minor and temporary. You may have possible bruising and soreness at the IV site. Rare side effects include risk of infection & allergic reaction. Our medical professionals are well-versed in identifying and managing side effects in the rare case that it should happen.
How often can I get an IV?
Everyone is different and has unique needs. Some people respond best to a weekly service while others may only require a single session per month. Some factors that determine IV Therapy frequency include, but are not limited to: Physical activity Nutrition Quality of sleep Stress Medical history Age If you have questions regarding frequency, please contact your local spa and one of our respectable registered nurses will be able to best assist you.
