About this Experience

What you'll do:

You and your crew are about to take down the most insufferable fitness villain of the '80s — and you'll learn exactly how to do it.

  • Learn signature wrestling moves – Jesse teaches you real holds and techniques, including the Boston Crab, Camel Clutch, and more, choreographed so your whole group can pull them off.

  • Take on Neon Flex – Your nemesis arrives in a neon pink leotard and luchador mask, ready to insult your fitness level and toss salad at your squad — your job is to shut him down.

  • Put on a performance – Each person in your group gets their turn in the ring, executing the moves you've practiced in a fully staged smackdown sequence.

  • Dress the part – Show up in your most extra wrestling gear; this is one of the few activities where a rhinestone bodysuit is the correct outfit.

  • Burn real energy laughing – The choreography is legit, the moves take coordination, and you'll be surprised how much of a workout landing the perfect smackdown actually is.

The whole session builds to a crescendo of chaos, laughter, and genuine triumph. By the time Neon Flex goes down, your group will have a story that outlasts any brunch.

Why we love it for your bachelorette party:

  • Completely different – There is no other pro wrestling class bachelorette party activity in Austin doing this — your group won't show up to something anyone else has done.

  • Built-in character to react to – Neon Flex gives the group a shared target, which means the energy and laughs are automatic, not forced.

  • Costume-friendly – The host comes in full costume and encourages yours, so your matching outfits finally have a venue that matches the commitment.

  • Active without being a workout – You move, sweat, and use your body, but the focus is on the bit, not the burn — great if your crew isn't looking for a traditional fitness class.

  • Flexible group format – The experience works for small crews and larger parties; everyone gets a turn, and nobody is left watching from the side.

About this experience partner:

Jesse is the creator of Ballbusters Self Defense, a pro wrestling class experience built around performance, humor, and genuine physical skill. He has spent years teaching movement-based classes — from indoor cycling to boxing with Parkinson's patients to self-defense training for refugees and survivors — and built Ballbusters as a return to the performative side of fitness he first discovered wrestling in Alaska. Guests consistently describe their sessions with Jesse as the most fun they've had at any Austin bachelorette party activity, and the most unexpectedly physical.

Additional information:

  • Space needed – Jesse brings two gymnastics mats and requires approximately a 10x10 meter open area at your venue.

  • Costume encouraged – Neon Flex will be in full character; the more committed your group's outfits, the better the photos.

  • No experience required – All moves are taught from scratch; no wrestling or fitness background is needed to participate.

  • Group format – Each participant takes turns executing the choreographed sequence; this is not a simultaneous group workout.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't know any moves?

We've got you. The experience is really about teaching you how to wrestle and then perform your short move against Neon. Each gal can get a turn and you can work in tandem.

Can we really kick you in the balls?

YES. I have done this before and don't want children. You're good.

Can we film/photograph?

If you don't I'll be offended.

What's Neon's Weakness?

His ego is so big he could never admit to one. But if we're being honest he's 165lbs and 5'8. You can probably take him down.

Is this safe if we've never wrestled before?

Absolutely. The entire experience is choreographed for beginners, and Jesse walks your group through each move step-by-step before anyone steps into the “ring.” The focus is on comedy, performance, and controlled movement — not actual fighting — so no wrestling background is needed to have a blast.
