##The Wind Drum is a one of a kind sailing experience, local champion Sailor Captain Ryan looks to fully immerse you in the sensation of REAL sailing, on a specially selected sport catamaran with an uncompromised lightweight design. We don't haul around bedrooms or kitchens, just a sport boat for day sailing with a giant bow to stern trampoline and padded lounge chairs for everyone as the water passes right under your feet! Wind Drum offers the most efficient and pure charter boat on the west coast, the captain is happy to give sailing lessons and let you drive. We sail (motors off) 40-100% further than any other sailboat available to charter. When the wind is light we are often the only ones still sailing, when its windy the stable catamaran design offers a much more stable platform that doesn't tip or lean so Captain Ryan can put more power through the sails for an experience that many describe as "sooo smooth".

In the summer we love doing our popular "Sail and Swims" where we sail over to our favorite swimming holes and anchor up to take a dip or swim to a secluded beach.

San Diego Bay’s shimmering waters are host to all sorts of marine wildlife and offer some of the best views of the whole city while boat rides offer a more intimate, relaxed, and meaningful experience compared to traditional yachts.

We also specialize in photoshoots, proposals or private couples sailing.
