Reviews
Frequently Asked Questions
Is mobile IV therapy safe?
Yes. Every Modwella IV is administered by a licensed Registered Nurse and reviewed by a licensed medical provider before the drip starts. Our nurses carry the same sterile supplies, medications, and emergency protocols used in clinical settings. IV therapy is not for emergencies. If you’re experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, or a true medical crisis, call 911.
How long does an IV appointment take?
Plan on 45–75 minutes total: a few minutes for setup and your provider teleconsult, 30–60 minutes for the infusion, and a quick wrap-up. NAD+ infusions run longer (60–120+ minutes) because they’re infused slowly for comfort.
How quickly will I feel the effects?
Most clients feel noticeably better before the bag is empty. Hydration kicks in within minutes, and vitamins and medications continue working over the next 12–24 hours. For chronic concerns, regular sessions (weekly or monthly) deliver the most consistent results.
Does IV therapy hurt?
You’ll feel a brief pinch when the IV is placed, similar to a blood draw. After that, most clients feel nothing at all. Our nurses are highly trained in vein access and use the smallest gauge appropriate for your veins.
Can I get an IV for a hangover?
Absolutely! Our Hangover IV is one of our most-requested formulas. It combines hydration, electrolytes, B-vitamins, anti-nausea medication (Zofran), and anti-inflammatory (Toradol) to flush the alcohol byproducts that cause headaches, nausea, and brain fog. Most clients feel like themselves within an hour.

Is IV therapy safe during pregnancy?
Our Pregnancy IV is specifically formulated to relieve morning sickness, dehydration, and fatigue, and many of our clients use it throughout pregnancy. Your provider will review your history and confirm it’s appropriate before starting.
Can I book IVs for a group, party, or event?
Yes. Group bookings are one of our specialties. Bachelorette parties, corporate offsites, ski trips, wedding mornings, and recovery days are all common bookings. Groups of 2+ save 10%, groups of 5+ save 15%, and groups of 10+ save 20%. See full details on our Group & Save page.
How much does mobile IV therapy cost?
Pricing varies by formula and add-ins, but you’ll always see the full cost on our menu, no hidden fees, no surprise charges. First-time clients save 10%, and active-duty military and veterans save 15% with valid ID. Learn more on our first-timer page.
How should I prep for my appointment?
Eat a light meal beforehand, drink some water, and wear a top with sleeves that roll up easily. Avoid heavy alcohol the morning of. Make sure your nurse has a clear path to a comfortable chair or couch with an outlet nearby.
What areas do you serve?
Tacoma and surrounding areas. May charge a travel fee $50 anything over 30 miles from Tacoma. But I can serve Seattle, Gig Harbor, Olympia, and any other Puget sound region if need be.
