Michele was a fantastic guide and the perfect way to kick off our trip! Her deep local knowledge of the French Quarter made the tour both insightful and fun. She gave us great recommendations for food and drinks, and even followed up afterward with more tips — above and beyond! Michele is passionate about the real culture of NOLA, not just the touristy spots, and if you listen to her, you’ll fall in love with it too. It was a hot day, and we truly appreciated her energy and thoughtfulness in pointing out great places to cool off with a refreshing drink. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend her to anyone wanting an authentic New Orleans experience! We were even able to venture on our own in the following days of our trip and it was FANTASTIC! So appreciative of all the gems of info she shared to us!

Michelle is very knowledgable of her hometown. She brings fun elements of history and architecture. The food was amazing! She also gives other recommendations for what to do after the tour. Highly recommend if you want to get out of the French Quarter.

This was a great tour of New Orleans and we went to places neither of us have been to before and learned a lot about the area! We absolutely loved it and had a blast. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to get out of the tourist trap areas in New Orleans and wants to learn about the history.

Really great experience with Michelle outside of the French Quarter for some gems in the Bywater neighborhood - she shared a lot of amazing local history and yummy food to try!

You will not go wrong booking this tour! It was like Michelle was a long, lost friend who you met up with years later. She gave us so many options for food stops. We just sort of rolled around town, hung out, laughed, talked about everything under the sun, and learned a ton about NO. It was like catching up with an old friend and having them show you all the hip places to be. Excellent.

Our family was in New Orleans for 12 days and took many tours. By far the best were guided by Michelle Mashon. She is a native of the city and knows all the best history and places to visit away from the normal tourist spots. I would give her 6 stars if that was possible.

Absolutely fabulous time with Michelle. Cannot recommend this tour enough! It absolutely delivers value for money (which can be hard to find in NOLA!) She was incredibly knowledgeable, fun and engaging. We’ve done lots of tours here in New Orleans and this was one of our favourites.

I can’t recommend this tour enough! Michelle took us to many awesome local spots that we wouldn’t have been able to find on our own. She was also super considerate, tailoring the tour to our dietary needs and how we were feeling that day. We had such a great time. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Michelle was the best guide for local bars and New Orleans cocktails. We had fun at Muriel’s, seeing the upstairs balcony and seance room. Michelle has been a bartender and helps everyone with what to order. There’s no better guide!

Michelle’s Bywater tour was one of the highlights of our New Orleans vacation. It felt well-organized, unique, and was full of surprises and useful information for our stay. This was our second tour with Michelle and she was just as energetic and knowledgeable as our previous time with her. This tour was a blast. Michelle was very knowledgable about New Orleans history and current events and we learned a lot. She took us to a couple of lesser known bars which was great.

If you want to experience local life, cuisine, art, and culture, presented by on individual who makes you feel like you have been life-long friends, then this is the tour for you. Michelle had great communication, informative history stories, and instinctively adapted the tour with perfection. She made us feel like we belonged in the Bywater community. From delicious food stops to beautiful house and people, we enjoyed every second of the excursion.
