What you'll do:

The Bywater arts and food scenes are the main draws to this river industry neighborhood that saw revitalization post-Katrina. Eat and drink your way through this boho area, recently featured in the NY Times, while taking in historic sites, street art, and colorful architecture. Discover neighborhood gems that'll make you feel like a local- this tour offers a unique look into the new, innovative direction of local cuisine, including Creole and Cajun classics. Enjoy a po-boy sandwich on the Mississippi River, munch calas (the sister of the beignet), sit down to delicious BBQ and great cocktails. End near Bacchanal Wine Bar and maybe stick around after the tour for a night of relaxing under the stars and listening to music!

  • We tour the neighborhood for about 30 minutes prior to eating at our first stop, so be sure to hydrate and eat a little before the tour

  • The tour is about a mile of walking in total, so wear comfy shoes & bring anything you need for the weather — our tours go in all weather.

  • While your ticket includes gratuity for all our restaurants, tips for your tour guide are always appreciated!

  • This tour is fitting for SOME dietary restrictions and allergies: vegetarians and gluten-free guests should book our Garden District Food Tour instead. Not recommended for vegan diets or extreme allergies. Please let us know in advance if you have any questions so we can prepare the best experience.
