About this Experience
What you'll do:
You and your peeps will get your hands muddy at a private wheel throwing party at Pip Coffee + Clay. Your instructor will demo the process. You’ll practice throwing on your own wheel with help (when you need it). Sip a tasty coffee or house made cocktail while you spin, and the studio is all yours for 3 hours. At the end of the party, you'll choose your favorite creations to keep and pick from a selection of glaze colors. We’ll glaze, and fire your pieces—if you're local, you can pick up in a few weeks, or we can ship them.

About this experience partner:
Pip Coffee + Clay is a ceramics studio and café with locations in Phoenix and Chandler. We teach wheel throwing and hand-building classes all week long, and private parties are some of our favorite days in the studio. Our instructors keep it relaxed, fun, and beginner-friendly, so your crew can focus on celebrating while we handle the clay, the tools, the glazing, and the kiln. Bachelorette parties, birthdays, team outings, girls’ nights, or just because, we’d love to host you.

Wear clothes you don’t mind getting muddy, and keep nails short if you can
Finished pieces are glazed and fired by our team and ready for pickup in about 3-4. [Shipping is available for out-of-town guests.]
We offer coffee, alcohol and sweets/snacks. Outside food available on request.
Cancellations made 14+ days out receive a 50% refund. Changes made within 14 days carry a 25% rebooking fee, and we can’t reschedule within 24 hours of your party.

What’s included in my private party?
All materials, instruction, and processing of your finished pieces. We handle the glazing and kiln firing, so all you have to do is show up and make something.
Where are parties held?
At our Phoenix studio at 2617 N 24th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008 and at our Chandler studio at 44 W. Erie St, Chandler, AZ 85225
When can we pick up our finished pieces?
About three weeks after your party, at our Phoenix studio. We can ship pieces for an additional cost, which works well for out-of-town guests.
Can we bring our own drinks?
For parties at our Phoenix studio, all beverages need to be purchased through Pip. For parties at our Chandler studio, you can bring your own alcoholic beverages; all non-alcoholic beverages need to be purchased through Pip. No outside drinks are allowed. Every studio party gets 20% off its food and beverage tab during the event.
Can we bring outside food?
We offer food and can often handle custom or off-menu requests. If you’d like to bring outside food, please clear it with us ahead of time.

How do I lock in my date?
Your date is confirmed once you’ve paid in full through our online scheduling system. Unpaid dates may be released to other bookings.
What if I need to reschedule?
Reschedules are free until 14 days before your event. Inside 14 days, there’s a 25% rebooking fee. We can’t reschedule within 24 hours of your event.
What’s your cancellation policy?
If you cancel 14 or more days before your event, you’ll get a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days out aren’t refundable.
What should we wear?
Clay can stain, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
Will you take photos?
We may photograph the party for our marketing. If you or any guest would rather not be included, just let us know in writing before the event.
What if something comes up that’s out of anyone’s control?
If extreme weather, a facility closure, or something similar affects your date, we’ll work with you to reschedule. This doesn’t change the refund terms above.
