About this Experience
What you'll do:
You and your crew will spend a creative afternoon on a covered porch in North Park, San Diego, building a coastal mixed-media collage diptych — two 12" x 12" canvases designed to hang together as one finished piece. This is a proper bachelorette art class: guided, material-heavy, and completely approachable for anyone who has never touched a canvas.
The medium: You'll work with Southern California imagery, handmade papers, botanicals, paint, and layered textured surfaces to build artwork that feels personal and finished.
The format: Each guest produces two 12" x 12" gallery-depth canvases that function as a diptych, so the final piece is substantial but still easy to carry on a plane.
The setting: The class takes place on a covered outdoor porch in North Park, San Diego's creative neighborhood, with room to spread out and make a mess.
The vibe: Good music, room for drinks and snacks, and a relaxed pace so conversation flows as naturally as the art does.
The skill level: No art background is needed; the guided format and curated materials are designed so every guest leaves with something they are genuinely proud of.
This is not a paint-and-sip. It is a creative bachelorette activity built around making something real together.
Why you'll love it for your bachelorette party:
A physical keepsake: Everyone leaves with finished artwork tied to a specific place and weekend, not a photo that gets buried in a camera roll.
Plane-friendly: The canvases are sized to fit easily in carry-on luggage, so no one has to leave their piece behind.
No experience required: The guided structure and pre-curated materials mean even the least crafty guest gets a great result.
Flexible on food and drinks: The space accommodates your own snacks and drinks so the group can eat, sip, and create on your terms.
Maximum 5 people group: The intimate format keeps the energy on your samll group focus rather than a crowded studio floor.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly will we make?
Each guest creates a pair of coordinating 12" x 12" canvases called a diptych. When displayed side-by-side, they form one larger, cohesive artwork that's inspired by the colors, textures, and vibe of coastal Southern California.
What's a diptych?
A diptych is simply two separate canvases designed to work together as one piece of art. Think of it as a modern, gallery-style artwork that can be displayed together or separately.
Do I need any art experience?
Not at all. This experience was designed specifically for beginners. I'll guide you through the process step-by-step, and the materials and techniques are intentionally chosen so everyone leaves with something beautiful and uniquely their own.
What materials will we work with?
We'll use paint, sand, coastal imagery, natural elements in a variety of mixed-media techniques to create layered, modern artwork with plenty of texture and personality.
Will everyone's artwork look the same?
Definitely not. Everyone starts with the same foundation, but each guest chooses their own imagery, composition, colors, and finishing touches. The result is a collection of completely different pieces that reflect each person's style.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little paint on.
Do you provide food and drinks?
Yes! Light refreshments and drinks are included so you can relax, create, and enjoy time together.
How long is the experience?
Approximately two and a half hours, giving everyone plenty of time to create without feeling rushed.
Can we take our artwork home?
Yes. The canvases are 12" x 12", and travel-friendly, making them easy to pack in a car or suitcase, or ship (if you've done too much shopping already).
Where does the experience take place?
On my covered North Park porch studio, a relaxed outdoor creative space designed for conversation, connection, and making art. North Park is loaded with fun bars, shops and restaurants, all within walking distance of the porch, so you can make a day of it.
Is this more of an art class or a social experience?
It's both. You'll learn some simple mixed-media techniques, but the real focus is spending time together, creating something beautiful, and making memories with your group.
