About this Experience
What you'll do:
The Tennessee Whiskey Experience departs from downtown Nashville at 11:00 AM and returns at 5:00 PM, starting just two blocks from Broadway. The tour visits three rotating distilleries, where you'll sample whiskey while learning about Tennessee’s rich bootlegging history, which lasted longer than federal prohibition. Tennessee, the first state to enact Prohibition laws, had distilleries in its rural hills that continued to thrive under the radar until the 21st Amendment in 1933. Each distillery stop offers a taste of local heritage and craftsmanship. The itinerary is kept a secret, ensuring a unique and unexpected experience at every stop.
Why we love it for your party:
- Sip & savor (Experience a guided tour and indulge in whiskey tastings at three amazing distilleries that locals can’t stop raving about)
- Lunch break (We’ll make a tasty stop for lunch along the way—because every great adventure deserves a great meal)
- Wrap it up (The tour finishes up around 5:00 pm, leaving you with plenty of time to keep the fun going - or take a well-earned nap!)

Stops Inlcude:
- Nelson's Green Brier Distillery:A family-run distillery reopened after being dormant for nearly 100 years. The Nelson brothers are on a mission to bring back the bustling whiskey business that was once bigger than Jack Daniel’s.
- Corsair Distillery: The most innovative distillery in town, Corsair won Whiskey Advocate’s 19th Annual Artisan Whiskey of the Year Award with their Triple Smoke. Ever tasted Quinoa Whiskey? It a thing. They play by their own rules…and that’s a good thing.
- Company Distilling: This quaint operation housed in an old grain barn 35 minutes south of Nashville is the first legal operation in Williamson County in a century. In addition to whiskey, their gin is something to be admired.
- Pennington Distilling Co: Producers of myriad whiskies, Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream, vodkas, among other spirits-Pennington is a crowd pleaser. The large industrial warehouse space offers an up-close look into the process of making whiskey from grain to glass.
- Nashville Craft Distillery: Founded by a former DNA scientist, this spot puts a scientific spin on their tours. You’ll walk away with a lesson in chemistry, biology, and maybe even history and linguistics. Don’t worry-there’s whiskey involved and there is no test at the end!
- Leiper’s Fork Distillery: Nestled near the darling town of Leiper’s Fork, this is the type of place you journey to on a Sunday afternoon drive. The setting is idyllic, and the tasting room housed in a 200 year old reclaimed log cabin is astonishing. It helps that they make amazing whiskey!
