Grape Lakes Wine hosted a wine tasting and food pairing at my home for a small group of friends, and they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Sam met with me to understand my goals for the evening, talk about wine and food options that would match the vibe we were going for, and even co-created a Pinterest board to make sure our visions for the evening were aligned. Sam and Chef Cora then met with me the week of the event to do a fina run through of the menu and logistics. They showed up to my home on time and well prepared for an easy and quick set up. Cora’s dishes were delicious, well-portioned, and a great complement to the selection of wines Sam had planned for us. Both Sam and Cora have lovely, welcoming personalities that made everyone feel at home and relaxed. Sam did a fabulous job introducing our group to new wines and winemakers, and shared great info about winemaking regions of Michigan that I hadn’t known! Her stories and tasting notes were engaging and made me feel like I learned a lot - and had fun doing it. Grape Lakes Wine was amazing to work with and I love their focus on highlighting the best wine and food Michigan has to offer!

Grape Lakes Wine facilitated a tasting for my friends and I, and not only did we have a great time, we learned so much about wines from our home state! I tried wines I wouldn't normally reach for and came away with real knowledge about local winemakers and food pairing. Samantha made the whole experience feel relaxed and fun (never intimidating) which I really appreciated. If you're looking for a unique outing that's both social and educational, this is it. Highly recommend for groups!
