We had a blast with our local guide who was happy to share her love of New Orleans. Each stop was better than the last and we enjoyed all the food tasting on this easy going small group tour, that we highly recommend. Accommodating our food allergies was very much appreciated. Our host also shared suggestions for evening meals and the best bars and hot spots. You will not be disappointed!
Michelle was so much fun to explore the French Quarter's local spots and had a ton of local recommendations about the city outside of Bourbon Street!!

Michelle is amazing! Very knowledgeable about the history. A fast, efficient tour guide, packs a lot into one tour. Will show you all the local good stuff, not the touristy, run-of-the-mill stuff. Loved this tour! Favorite of the trip!
Amazing tour and experience!! Michelle was a wonderful host, and her historical knowledge of the city was as expansive as her food history expertise. She was very personable, the food choices were delicious and unique, and she made the entire tour so enjoyable. She also provided some great personal recommendations for other restaurants, we did two of her rec’s, and they were a home run! Highly recommend.
Michelle was the best guide for local bars and New Orleans cocktails. We had fun at Muriel’s, seeing the upstairs balcony and seance room. Michelle has been a bartender and helps everyone with what to order. There’s no better guide!

Our family was in New Orleans for 12 days and took many tours. By far the best were guided by Michelle Mashon. She is a native of the city and knows all the best history and places to visit away from the normal tourist spots. I would give her 6 stars if that was possible.

I can highly recommend this tour for a local taste and history of NOLA. We enjoyed the being able to step away from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter with a local expert. Visiting the Garden District and learning about how the localities of New Orleans grew made the trip different from the usual tourist destinations. Michelle’s knowledge and choice of food stops was exceptional. I will be dreaming of the Eggplant Napoleon for a while.
This was our second tour with Michelle and she was just as energetic and knowledgeable as our previous time with her. We visited some great cocktail bars and everything felt perfect for our group and energy. Highly recommend Michelle and her tours if you’re looking for something a bit more off the beaten path. We’ll absolutely use her services next time we’re in town!

Absolutely fabulous time with Michelle. Cannot recommend this tour enough! It absolutely delivers value for money (which can be hard to find in NOLA!) She was incredibly knowledgeable, fun and engaging. We’ve done lots of tours here in New Orleans and this was one of our favourites.
This was an amazing tour! Michelle was so knowledgeable and fun. The tour went to some great bars & saw a ghost table, a French Quarter balcony & tried classic cocktails. She also provided recommendations for the rest of our trip that made sure we had a great time. 100% recommend and will be doing again!
What a FUN tour. If you like old homes, fun facts, and yummy food...this is for you. Great for everyone :) Really happy our little crew decided to do this.

The reason that we picked her was that we didn't want to do the usual touristy spots, we wanted it to feel more local and special and not trashy and that is exactly what she delivered on. We'll be using her for all our future client trips as well!

Michelle is knowledgeable about the area and happy to provide insights and details you didn’t even know you needed to ask about! We all assumed the French Quarter was the only place to see here. We booked this tour for our first day, and so glad we did. We greatly appreciated the story behind some of the historic homes. The tour completely opened our eyes to what the rest of the city has to offer. I would highly recommend this tour, even if you’ve been to NOLA before and want to explore the rest of the city.

A really fun tour with a fun guide! Michelle is genuine, warm, and enthusiastic about her tours. The history is fascinating, the area is beautiful, and the food is amazing. Wear comfy shoes and come hungry!
This tour was a blast. Michelle was very knowledgable about New Orleans history and current events and we learned a lot. She took us to a couple of lesser known bars which was great.

Michele was a fantastic guide and the perfect way to kick off our trip! Her deep local knowledge of the French Quarter made the tour both insightful and fun. She gave us great recommendations for food and drinks, and even followed up afterward with more tips — above and beyond! Michele is passionate about the real culture of NOLA, not just the touristy spots, and if you listen to her, you’ll fall in love with it too. It was a hot day, and we truly appreciated her energy and thoughtfulness in pointing out great places to cool off with a refreshing drink. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend her to anyone wanting an authentic New Orleans experience! We were even able to venture on our own in the following days of our trip and it was FANTASTIC! So appreciative of all the gems of info she shared to us!

For our group trip, we booked several tours, including a walking food tour in the Garden District. Michelle was, by far, the best tour guide we’ve ever had! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of both the Garden District and New Orleans, and she shared it all with such warmth and enthusiasm. During the quieter moments of the tour, we enjoyed wonderful conversations about her background and shared stories about our own families.
