If you want to experience local life, cuisine, art, and culture, presented by on individual who makes you feel like you have been life-long friends, then this is the tour for you. Michelle had great communication, informative history stories, and instinctively adapted the tour with perfection. She made us feel like we belonged in the Bywater community. From delicious food stops to beautiful house and people, we enjoyed every second of the excursion.

I can’t recommend this tour enough! Michelle took us to many awesome local spots that we wouldn’t have been able to find on our own. She was also super considerate, tailoring the tour to our dietary needs and how we were feeling that day. We had such a great time. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Our family was in New Orleans for 12 days and took many tours. By far the best were guided by Michelle Mashon. She is a native of the city and knows all the best history and places to visit away from the normal tourist spots. I would give her 6 stars if that was possible.

This was our second tour with Michelle and she was just as energetic and knowledgeable as our previous time with her. Michele was a fantastic guide and the perfect way to kick off our trip! Her deep local knowledge of the French Quarter made the tour both insightful and fun. She gave us great recommendations for food and drinks, and even followed up afterward with more tips — above and beyond! Michele is passionate about the real culture of NOLA, not just the touristy spots, and if you listen to her, you’ll fall in love with it too. It was a hot day, and we truly appreciated her energy and thoughtfulness in pointing out great places to cool off with a refreshing drink. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend her to anyone wanting an authentic New Orleans experience! We were even able to venture on our own in the following days of our trip and it was FANTASTIC! Michelle’s Bywater tour was one of the highlights of our New Orleans vacation. It felt well-organized, unique, and was full of surprises and useful information for our stay. It truly felt like a locals’ experience. You will not go wrong booking this tour! It was like Michelle was a long, lost friend who you met up with years later. She gave us so many options for food stops. We just sort of rolled around town, hung out, laughed, talked about everything under the sun, and learned a ton about NO. It was like catching up with an old friend and having them show you all the hip places to be. Excellent.

This was a great tour of New Orleans and we went to places neither of us have been to before and learned a lot about the area! We absolutely loved it and had a blast. This tour was a blast. Michelle was very knowledgable about New Orleans history and current events and we learned a lot. She took us to a couple of lesser known bars which was great.

Michelle brought us to some great gems in a underrated neighborhood and really brought the history and culture of the community to life- Even though there were some people on different wavelengths up front, she made the tour incredibly fun for everyone involved, and one of the highlights of our New Orleans Trip. Michelle was the best guide for local bars and New Orleans cocktails. We had fun at Muriel’s, seeing the upstairs balcony and seance room. Michelle has been a bartender and helps everyone with what to order. There’s no better guide!

Michelle is amazing! The Garden District food tour was one of the highlights of our visit to NOLA. She was able to accommodate our 11 person bachelorette party along with vegan and gluten considerations. Her local knowledge of New Orleans and its history was impressive and engaging. I highly recommend that you add one of Michelle’s tours to your NOLA “must do” list!

This was an amazing tour! Michelle was so knowledgeable and fun. The tour went to some great bars & saw a ghost table, a French Quarter balcony & tried classic cocktails. She also provided recommendations for the rest of our trip that made sure we had a great time. 100% recommend and will be doing again!

Michelle was an amazing tour guide! She did a custom tour for a group of clients that we were hosting for the day in New Orleans. The reason that we picked her was that we didn't want to do the usual touristy spots, we wanted it to feel more local and special and not trashy and that is exactly what she delivered on. We'll be using her for all our future client trips as well!

We all assumed the French Quarter was the only place to see here. We booked this tour for our first day, and so glad we did. We greatly appreciated the story behind some of the historic homes. The tour completely opened our eyes to what the rest of the city has to offer. I would highly recommend this tour, even if you’ve been to NOLA before and want to explore the rest of the city.

Really fun!!! Michelle knows her stuff. Loved the secret culinary places she curated for our tastings! But this was more than just a food tour… She made history come alive with engaging stories as we wandered through the Garden District. For our group trip, we booked several tours, including a walking food tour in the Garden District. Michelle was, by far, the best tour guide we’ve ever had! This tour was a highlight of our trip. Michelle was knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about the city. We loved exploring the historic neighborhood, tasting amazing Cajun and Creole dishes, and checking out the small local shops. Ending with beignets and café au lait was perfect. If you want real local flavor with a great guide, this experience is an easy recommendation!

I can highly recommend this tour for a local taste and history of NOLA. We enjoyed the being able to step away from Bourbon Street and the French Quarter with a local expert. Visiting the Garden District and learning about how the localities of New Orleans grew made the trip different from the usual tourist destinations. Michelle’s knowledge and choice of food stops was exceptional. I will be dreaming of the Eggplant Napoleon for a while.
