Visit three food stops that highlight New Orleans history through flavors on this guided walking tour of the Garden District. After a brief tour of the neighborhood's architecture & history, enjoy a full meal of unique Cajun and Creole specialties, spread out over 3 local eateries. Start at the Lafayette Cemetery to hear the unique funeral customs and traditions of New Orleans and the history of the city's early years. Then explore the architecture of the Garden District, home to historic mansions and beautiful oak trees. Your three food stops serve you a full meal of Creole favorites, ending with beignets and cafe au lait. Along the way, we'll check out locally-owned gift stores, vintage, an artist co-op and art gallery, so save time after the tour to shop! Finish with a full stomach and plenty of recommendations for local fun and flavors for the rest of your visit, an excellent intro to the city for groups looking to get out of the French Quarter.
