We had a great dolphin tour today with a very knowledgeable captain Jackson. On a very windy day we were able to see 10-15 dolphins. He knew where to go and was very kind to my entire family. He kept us all engaged and handled himself well. One of the other passengers was very afraid of even getting on the boat because she couldn’t swim. Jackson made everyone feel safe and was very cautious but still gave us an exciting time.
We were in Hilton Head celebrating my birthday. It was my best friend, husband and myself. We decided to do this sunset cruise and it was the best decision. We had such a good time. Jackson was our Captain, he was great and he helped us to see the dolphins! He was the best! I highly recommend this cruise!
Last night we had a wonderful time on our Hibachi sunset cruise. The crew was so attentive and the chefs made a delicious dinner for us. The food was plentiful and it was fun watching them prepare it. Thank you for a very pleasant and relaxing evening! We would definitely recommend this cruise!
The sunset dolphin cruise by Island Head was the high mark of our week In Hilton Head. The weather was great, the ones calm, the captain Rob excellent, and we saw several dolphins. Everything came together for a memorable experience. Thanks!
What a fun time! We really enjoyed this sunset hibachi pontoon cruise. The chefs were fun and energetic and ensured all were having a good time. They were also cautious of anyone with food allergies. The playlist had a little something for everyone which was appreciated. Thank you for a memorable evening!

Rented a pontoon boat today. Something was wrong with the one we were supposed to use & they sent us to the Broad Creek location…everyone was so nice & pleasant about it all!!! We had a blast & appreciate the kindness shown! Great company!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We went on their HHIbachi cruise and it was amazing. We were 4 adults, a 3yo, and an infant. It was so much more than a sunset cruise with hibachi. They kept us engaged and having fun they whole time. There’s PLENTY of food and it's very good. Their homemade ginger dressing is wonderful and all of the proteins - chicken, steak, and shrimp - were delicious. None of us could agree on which was our favorite! Drinks are available for an additional fee on board, but they take card and will open a tab for the trip. They do a free sake challenge, though, so no charge for that! You may also want to bring cash to tip at the end - they'll definitely have earned it! Great communication, they sent us a text when we booked, one the day before as a reminder, and one the morning of with arrival instructions (address, time for check-in, etc.). It was very easy to find and parking was plentiful. We're here in the spring, so parking might be more sparse in the summer. Definitely wear sunscreen, though there are parts of the boat that will be shaded. There's an exposed front deck and then a larger cabin with a cover and open sides. Bench seats line the outside of the boat - no tables. The water was smooth enough that we were walking around, dancing, and standing the whole time without issue. We also saw a couple of dolphins on the trip for an added bonus!
Awesome tubing trip. Tim was great. You get right out into the water, so most of the time is spent tubing, not driving to a location. Will for sure come back to Island Head for our next water sport adventure!
We had an awesome time tubing! Captain William was super helpful and knowledgeable. We had three teens and four adults, so everyone wanted to go different speeds. William was really good at listening and making sure everyone had a good time! Highly recommend if you’re looking for something fun to do in Hilton Head!

We had a beautiful cruise, meeting and taking with new people. Chefs made the hibachi dinner onboard while cruising. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Was a beautiful evening.
Really enjoyed our pontoon boat ride around Daufuskie Island. William, who checked us in and got us on the water, was highly professional and very friendly, not to mention humorous. The only downside to our trip was that the radio didn't work (though it would've been hard to hear it over the motor while moving). It was a nice way to see parts of the Hilton Head area inaccessible to cars and bikes.
We really enjoyed our Dolphin tour. A few of them came right up to our boat. Our tour guide was really awesome!!!! We went during December, so it was a little chilly but not too bad. I’m sure other times of the year are different, we probably go back during the fall. I definitely recommend doing this!!!
My family of 3 (44, 55 & 13) all had a great time with the crew!! We started with Parasailing and had such a great time, we also rented the 2hr Pontoon Boat. Jake & team we’re excellent! Will come back again.
We so enjoyed ferry to and back Daufuskie Island. Even though it was not a dolphin tour, the captain stopped the boat to give us a chance to look at dolphins. There was also a couple of stingrays that jumped around. The captain and Riley were both were a wealth of information and eagerly shared knowledge. Riley even shared pictures that she had on her phone and was a pleasure to have conversation with. Very personable crew. Truly awesome.
We rented a pontoon boat for 4 hours from them today! We had a marvelous time. The staff was fantastic, going over the finer details of how to operate a boat in Hilton Head Island Waters ... YES. It is different, going over thr boat operations and safety measures. All of which was done to ensure that we had a great time. We went into the mouth of the May River, down to Daufuskie Island, over toward Harbour Towne and then back again. We saw a ton of Dolphins, more than we've ever seen and had remarkable weather. We'll definitely rent from these guys again. Great equipment, Great Staff and we had a great time!
This is the second time I have used Island Head, but this time we rented a pontoon. We had a great experience! The process was easy and they were very accommodating. Highly recommend!
Rented a pontoon boat from Island Head yesterday for a morning on the water with my wife, 2 kids, and a couple friends. We had a great experience through out. Check in was quick and seamless and Captain John gave us a great introduction to the boat. The boat was clean and comfortable and worked perfectly. Our four hours on the water went way too fast - we had so much fun - we explored the waters around Hilton Head and we saw manatee, dolphin, lots of birds, and tons of cool flowers and fauna. I highly recommend Island Head - they are awesome.
Wonderful staff, very welcoming, happy to be there, and happy you're there! We rented a pontoon the first day and the guy helping us couldn't have been better. I had never driven a boat before, and he was very calm and encouraging and gave very simple, clear instructions. The next day we went para sailing and the 2 guys we went out with were so much fun! Highly recommend this place, you will feel great during the whole experience.
We had a fantastic time! The boat easily accommodated our group of 10 adults and 2 children, we brought our own food and drinks and it worked great! We saw lots of dolphins and the sunset was gorgeous! Highly recommend, we’ll be back!
Girls had a great time tubing even though it is cold and windy. They thought it was a blast. They were surrounded by dolphins and they thought the captain was really very nice . Will definitely do again hopefully will be sunny ☀️ and warm
We went two days in a row. One for tubing, and one for parasailing. Tim was our guide/captain for tubing and he was awesome. I will warn that some groups on the parasailing ride didn't get to go up because of a storm that took over us. We were lucky enough to get in the air, which was amazing. But watch the weather and don't be too defeated if they can't take you up. They do refunds or try to reschedule you.
Even though the day started out a little rainy, our sunset cruise with Captain Bill ended up being one of the most memorable parts of our trip. He was super friendly and made us feel right at home as soon as we got on the boat. You could tell he genuinely cared about making the experience special. We weren’t sure what to expect with the weather, but Captain Bill stayed positive and kept an eye on the sky. And sure enough — just in time — the sun peeked through the clouds and gave us the most beautiful sunset. The way the light hit the water and the sky lit up after the rain was absolutely stunning. Then, to make the moment even more magical, we saw dolphins! Captain Bill pointed them out right away and slowed the boat down so we could really take it in. It was such a peaceful, surreal experience. He also took photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The pictures turned out amazing, and it was nice not to worry about taking our own while we soaked in the view. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Rain or shine, Captain Bill knows how to make it unforgettable. Highly recommend booking with him — you won’t regret it!
Our family of 9 had an amazing time tubing! The smiles on everyone’s faces made my day. Our captain, Tim, did a great job and even stopped and pointed out the dolphins. We probably saw over a dozen dolphins! That made this adventure extra special!
Our group of 9 had an absolute blast tubing with Island Head! Our driver Tim was great - we felt totally comfortable and safe with his driving, AND had plenty of fun on the tube. We’d go again in a heartbeat!

Hibachi cruise is a MUST. My brother and I had the best time! It was a blast!!!! I would recommend to everyone!
We did the Rose Golden Hour Sunset on the 4th of July. My mom is hard of walking normally and she sprained her ankle so she was extra slow on this trip. so we called a couple days ahead of time to see if we should cancel and they told us it was no problem - they could golf cart us. They were quick to help with the cart down the long pier but then the Catamaran was in the furthest slip away - still a significant walk with no cart access 🥲🥲 the team was SO helpful with my mom and they were the best, but I did wish we knew how far it was to get to the slip and my mom probably would have canceled. But the team was seriously the best and I’m sad I forget their names but you’ll see them in the video! Awesome trip and I’d for sure do it again.

John was our guide. He was very informative and entertaining.... and played some awesome tunes on our tour. It was the first dolphin tour my husband and I have ever taken so we were very pleased with everything.
We had a wonderful Dolphin trip last week with Jeff (I’m pretty sure that was his name). Our tour started with him offering to golf cart drive us down to the ramp to check in. That was really kind. The trip was relaxing and our guide stopped frequently for us to view the dolphins. I would recommend their tours.
The pontoon was perfect for a laid-back day on the water, slow cruising and stopping to swim whenever we felt like it. It wasn’t the fastest ride, but it was all about relaxing, enjoying the views, and floating in the sun. If you’re looking for a chill day on the water, this is the way to go! Saw the Harbour Town Lighthouse and stopped at Freeport for lunch.
We had a lovely tour! Lots of dolphin and wildlife sightings on the ferry, and then so much fun riding around in golf carts. Our party of ten (with quite a few kiddos) had a stress free adventure.. Thank you!
Ferry ride was enjoyable and staff were friendly and professional. Sign in was easy and quick. Small wait for golf carts but check in was easy as well and fun to tour the island. Finished our day with lunch and another nice ferry ride back. Was an enjoyable day and easy to plan. Would highly recommend.
Renting a pontoon and heading to Daufuskie was about as good as it gets—cold drinks, good folks, and not a worry in the world. We cruised, beached it, and raised a little hell, all while soaking up that Carolina sun. Nothin’ but a damn good time out on the water!
My husband and I booked a dolphin tour with Island Head on June 25, 2024. Captain Bill was our tour guide, we loved him!!! He was very informative about the area which was very interesting. He even found dolphins for us and one even came right up to the boat. So we got an up close and personal with a dolphin!!! The only thing that would have made it better was if I was in the water with the dolphins 😊 So I would like to personally thank Captain Bill ❤️ I hope to book a tour with you the next time we come to HHI.

The 1.5 hour dolphin tour was super chill, low key and very relaxing. We saw some manatees and a few dolphins! Our guide was knowledgeable about the area and a great dude. One tip: wear sunscreen and bring a hat. If it’s a sunny day you are baking in the sun for 1.5 hours.
