About this Experience

What you'll do:

You'll watch Waikiki's Friday night fireworks launch over the skyline from the deck of a catamaran, drinks in hand, your group around you, and open ocean between you and the show.

  • Board the catamaran at the partner dock – Arrive with your group, your drinks, and your snacks, and get settled on the open-air deck before the crew casts off toward the fireworks viewing position.

  • Sail into position for the Hilton fireworks show – The crew navigates to the water-level vantage point that puts the entire fireworks display directly in front of you, framed by Waikiki's skyline.

  • Pour your own drinks on deck – BYOB means the group brings exactly what they want: champagne, seltzers, canned cocktails with no bar minimums and no glass-bottle restrictions to work around.

  • Photograph the show from the water – With the fireworks exploding above the skyline and the catamaran's open deck giving you 360 degrees of visibility, you'll get the angle that no one on shore has access to.

  • Stay on deck through the full show – The crew handles the sailing throughout, so the group stays together, stays in position, and watches the complete fireworks display without moving from the water.

The combination of a BYOB catamaran on a Friday night with fireworks overhead turns a standard evening into something the group talks about long after the last spark fades. It's a Honolulu Friday that cannot be replicated from a beach chair or a hotel balcony.

Why we love it for your party:

  • Prime Fireworks Viewing Position – The crew sails to a water-level spot directly in front of the show, which means the group sees the full display without craning around other spectators or competing for a patch of beach.

  • BYOB Policy, No Glass – Bring champagne, seltzers, or whatever the group is drinking. Alcohol is welcome on board, and there are no bar minimums, just the single restriction of no glass containers.

  • Open-Air Catamaran Deck – The boat's open deck gives the group room to move, stand at the rail, or spread out across seating. A party needs space, and this vessel has it.

  • Occasion-Ready Format – The Friday night fireworks format works for bachelorette parties, birthday groups, girls' trips, bachelor nights, and any celebration group that wants a real event rather than a bar night.

  • Experienced Crew Throughout – The sailing is fully managed by a local crew from departure to return, which means the group's only job from the moment they board is to enjoy the show.

About this experience partner:

Aloha Sails Waikiki runs a recurring Friday night fireworks cruise out of Honolulu, positioning their catamaran on the water specifically for the weekly Waikiki fireworks show, a viewing experience that draws repeat guests precisely because of where the boat sits during the display. They specialize in celebration groups, bachelorette parties, birthday nights, and friends' trips, and have built a reputation among Oahu visitors for running a smooth, crew-managed sail that lets groups focus entirely on the occasion. Local knowledge of the fireworks timing, positioning, and Friday night harbor conditions is what separates their operation from operators who simply happen to be on the water that night.

Additional information:

  • What to bring – Your own beverages (BYOB, no glass containers), snacks, a camera or charged phone, a light jacket for the evening breeze, and cash if you'd like to tip the crew.

  • Glass policy – No glass bottles or glassware of any kind permitted on board; cans and plastic are welcome.

  • Seating – Open-air deck seating only; there is no indoor or sheltered seating on this vessel.

  • Schedule – This cruise runs on Friday evenings in alignment with the Waikiki fireworks show; exact departure time is confirmed at booking.
