Paint, Sculpt & Celebrate: Private Pottery Parties in Riverside, CA

What you'll do:

Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get creative with your crew! At your private Mud Hut event, you'll choose between two unforgettable pottery experiences:

• Paint-Your-Own Pottery: Browse our curated shelves of ready-to-paint ceramics—think mugs, trinket dishes, vases, and seasonal shapes. Our team will guide you through the painting process with pro tips, paint palettes, and ideas. You’ll leave behind your pieces for firing, then pick them up later glazed and gorgeous.

• Hand-Building with Clay: Using high-quality kiln-free clay, we’ll walk your group through a step-by-step sculpting project like a vase, ring dish, mug, or pinch pot creature. You'll shape, sculpt, and decorate your own creation—perfectly imperfect and full of personality. Projects are designed to be beginner-friendly and all items are stoneware meaning they are dishwasher, microwave, and oven safe when completed. Projects will be ready in four to six weeks.

Throughout your session, you’ll laugh, snack, sip, and get a little messy while making something totally your own. It’s fun, relaxing, and a little therapeutic—trust us, you’ll be hooked. Yes, you can bring in your own food and favorite adult beverages or dirty sodas!

We specialize in laid-back, joy-filled pottery experiences—from paint-your-own parties to guided hand-building workshops. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or just want an artful moment with your favorite people, our private event studio is your cozy, creative hideaway.

At Mud Hut, no two creations (or events) are ever the same—and that’s exactly the point.

Whether you're planning a bachelorette, birthday, or just want a creative way to catch up with your crew, Mud Hut Pottery Studio delivers a party that's hands-on, laid-back, and completely different from the usual bar crawl or dinner out.

Come as you are. Leave with a little clay under your nails, a handmade treasure, and a whole lot of good memories.

Additional information:

• Private events must be booked in advance (full payment is required to secure your date and time)

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your event to receive a refund or reschedule (cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance will result in forfeiture of payment)

• Outside food and drinks are welcome! We provide tables for setup (alcohol is permitted for guests 21+)

• We recommend guests arrive 10 minutes early to get settled and start on time

• Finished painted pieces will be ready for pickup within 2 weeks, and hand-built projects are ready in 4-6 weeks (for out of town guests, we can make arrangements to ship items to host)

• Minimum group size: 8 guests. Maximum capacity: 30 guests

• No experience necessary! All tools, materials, and step-by-step instruction are included
