About this Experience
What you'll do
Take out a 32-foot Baja twin-engine speedboat on a fully private charter in Myrtle Beach with up to five of your guests and spend two hours on the water doing exactly what your group decides: island stops, dolphin cruising, waterfront dining, open-water runs, or some combination of all four.
Build Your Own Itinerary — Before departure, you tell the captain what you want: an island visit, dolphin spotting, a waterfront restaurant stop, or full-throttle coastal running, and the route is built around your group's priorities, not a fixed schedule.
Pull Up to the Island — The Baja's draft and speed make barrier island access straightforward; you can arrive, step off, explore, and reboard without the logistics of a larger vessel.
Cruise for Dolphins — The captain navigates through active dolphin habitat along the South Carolina coast, and bottlenose dolphins are regularly spotted running alongside the boat on open-water stretches.
Dock at a Waterfront Restaurant — If your group wants to build a meal into the charter, the captain can route to a waterfront dining spot along the Intracoastal Waterway. The boat handles the logistics, you handle the reservation.
Control the Soundtrack — The onboard Bluetooth sound system connects to your phone, so the playlist is yours for the full two hours from departure to return.
This is the private speedboat charter Myrtle Beach groups book when they want the entire boat, no strangers, no shared schedule, no compromises on what the day looks like. The customized itinerary format is what separates it from every fixed-route tour on the water, and the twin-engine Baja has the speed and range to actually deliver on whatever the group builds.
Why we love it for your private party
Fully Private Charter — The entire 32-foot Baja is yours for the duration, no other guests, no shared departure, and no itinerary that wasn't approved by your group before you left the dock.
Customizable Itinerary — Island stop, dolphin cruise, waterfront dining, or open-ocean running, the route is built around what your group actually wants to do, not what fits a tour schedule.
BYOB or Snack Pack — Bring your own food and beverages, or have the team build a snack pack for the group. The cooler space is yours for the charter.
USCG-Licensed Captain — Every charter is run by a Coast Guard-licensed captain who handles navigation, conditions, and logistics so your group focuses on the experience, not the operation of the vessel.
Two or Four-Hour Options — Both durations are available with multiple start times, so you can fit the charter into a longer day of activities or build the entire afternoon around it.
About this experience partner:
Southern Shores Island and Dolphin Cruises operates the Need4Speed, a 32-foot twin-engine Baja speedboat available for fully private charters out of North Myrtle Beach as part of a larger fleet that includes a USCG-inspected catamaran, additional cruise vessels, and a Sea-Doo jet ski program. The company is known for its customized private charter format, where guests set the itinerary rather than following a fixed route, which makes the Baja a consistent booking for bachelorette parties, milestone birthdays, and corporate groups who want the water to themselves. USCG-licensed captains run every charter, and the team's knowledge of local barrier island access, dolphin habitat, and waterfront dining locations along the South Carolina coast is what makes the fully customized format actually work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need to arrive early?
Please arrive AT LEAST 30 min before your scheduled cruise time. The boat is scheduled to leave the dock promptly at the booked time. We will not extend trip time for late arrivals, unless further payment is made.
Can we bring any food or drinks?
Yes. For private charters, you are allowed to bring food and drinks. No glass is permitted.
Where do we park and is it free?
There are designated parking spots just past the marina office on the right side of the road near the ticket booth. Parking is free.
Are there bathrooms on the boat?
Yes. The Need4Speed has a restroom on the boat. A Restroom is also available at the ticket booth.
What if it rains/ocean is rough?
Safety is the highest priority! We will cancel all cruises if inclement weather makes it too dangerous to go out. If a cruise is cancelled, we will notify you by phone if possible. Do not assume a cruise is cancelled because of the weather report! Keep in mind, we are a coastal town, and the weather is unpredictable and moves in quickly at times. If the Coast Guard issues a small craft advisory, we will not take the boat into the Ocean. This does not mean the cruise is cancelled. As an alternative, we will spend more time at the beach and/or cruise longer on the ICW into North Carolina.
