The Escape Game Chicago: Interactive Escape Room + Puzzle Challenges for the Ultimate Group Adventure

We visited Escape Game Chicago back in September for my son's 12th birthday. My son loves all things space, so we booked the Mars Mission for him and his best friends. Upon check-in we realized that we had already completed the Mars Mission escape room at Mall of America. The young lady at the front desk ( I believe her name was Jenny) was awesome! She not only changed our reservation so that we wouldn't repeat the same escape room, but also gave us a $10 off coupon for the place across the street. After completion the staff gave my son a signed birthday card and one of each of their online escape games which he loved completing. My son had a wonderful time. Thank you Escape Game Chicago!!! 10/10 Highly recommend

Our team has a tradition of going to an escape room together every quarter during our onsite, and The Escape Game Chicago has become our absolute favorite spot. We’ve already completed three of their rooms, and I’ve booked our team sessions here in the past because the experience is always consistently great. We’re looking forward to trying the rest of the rooms next! The room designs are incredibly thoughtful and immersive - everything from the puzzles to the storylines feels well-crafted and engaging. The challenges are the perfect balance of fun and difficult, which really brings out the best in team collaboration. A huge compliment to the staff as well … the customer service is consistently excellent. Everyone we’ve interacted with has been friendly, energetic, and genuinely invested in making the experience great. Highly recommend for team building or just a fun night with friends. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband took me to Chicago to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. we spent a day in Chicago and did the gold rush! It was amazing quality, challlenging and so fun! We had a FANTASTIC time! It was just him and i and we made it out with 11mins and 46secs to spare. Nyla was our game guide and she was so sweet. When we completed our game she gave us a card signed by her and the other escape room employees. We thought that was the sweetest touch! 10/10 will go again!

Eli was great! Very informative and friendly. Super thoughtful too, when we told her we had just got engaged she had the whole crew sign a card for us. We will definitely be back!

We came here to celebrate my mom’s birthday and had an amazing time doing the Prison Break escape room! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and kept the energy high. The room itself was so well designed it felt like we were really in a prison with clever puzzles, hidden surprises, and challenges that made us all work together. It was the perfect mix of fun and difficulty, and our game guide was fantastic giving us just the right amount of hints to keep things moving without spoiling the experience. My mom said it was one of her best birthdays yet, and we couldn’t stop talking about it afterward. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun group activity or special celebration. We’ll definitely be back to try another room!

My mom and I went the other day to play Prison Break, and we had the BEST time!! The staff were incredibly friendly, Jo and John were absolutely awesome and made sure we had the best time. We did escape (thanks to the many clues from Jo), but it was definitely a close call! At the end of the game, the staff surprised me with a Gatlinburg Escape Game shirt, because they had heard me talking about it in the lobby! Thank you for an awesome experience!

I cannot say enough good things about how much I enjoyed my time here. Every single person was AMAZING. It’s rare nowadays to find a crew of people that you can tell like their job by how they act and present themselves. My wife and I played 5 games there and got to meet all the wonderful people that worked that day from 2pm-8pm (Saturday 7/16/25 afternoon and Sunday afternoon/evening 7/17/25-for reference to the owner so hopefully you give them some acknowledgment). They ended our night surprising us with this HAND DRAWN card, “Super Fans” lanyards and other ridiculously cool gifts. They had it laid out for us in the last room of the last game we were playing, so when we entered the room it surprised us. Just the well thought out and heartfelt gesture was completely above and beyond anything we expected. They didn’t have to do that. In fact if they didn’t we would’ve never known the difference. For that fact, it just shows how much they care. To anyone thinking about doing this: DO IT! To everyone we met today: This was the first time in 4 years my wife and I were able to take a trip by ourselves. You guys alone made this trip worthwhile. We felt seen, cared for and never just a customer. Thank you for the endless support and patience with all of our need for clues… what seemed like every 3-10 minutes 😂. Everyone on this card and those that might have left before we finished our last game, thank you truly. My hope is that every Escape Game location has people just like you all, but those will be very big shoes to fill. To the owner: Every one of your people at this Gatlinburg location needs flowers, cards, acknowledgement, promotions and pay raises immediately. ASAP. You had an eye for talent when you found these people. We thank you. We love you. Awesome cannot even begin to describe you each and every one of you. Hopefully next time we have an opportunity to get away we see you again. The only thing I regret is that this review only allows us to rate 5 stars because this deserves WAY more stars than just 5.

This place absolutely knocked it out of the park in helping me with my marriage proposal. They were very flexible and accommodating. Harley helped me tremendously with all the planning and our game host (sorry I forgot his name) executed perfectly. I couldn't thank y'all enough. The care and customer service here is top notch. And the escape games themselves are wonderful, creative and challenging.

Me and my cousins went here when we were on vacation in Gatlinburg. Joe and Curtis helped us out during our visit late at night, best customer service EVER. Cracking jokes the whole time and even danced with us and joined our congo line to the front desk after escaping The Heist(we couldn’t have done it without Joe) Going here was probably the best decision we made in Gatlinburg. We had an incredible time at The Escape Game in Chicago doing the Mission to Mars room! Karly was absolutely fantastic as our command control—she made the experience so fun and engaging. Our teens were completely immersed in solving the clues, and the whole team worked together to beat the mission with just 13 seconds to spare! Karly kept the energy high and made sure we had the best time from start to finish. Highly recommend this experience for families or groups looking for a fun, exciting challenge!

We had so much fun doing our room! We got out and Karly was so amazing!! Could not recommend more! The staff even made me a birthday card! We went back the next night and had so much fun with Sybil! If I’m ever back in Chicago I’ll be returning.

Curtis was awesome and so were the gals that got us going. We had a group of 10 and we all got to work together to jail break. Thank you for a fun activity during a rainy day of our family vacation!

Went here for my boyfriend’s birthday as a group activity. It was everything we could have wanted for a first time escape room experience. Our game host Jonah was super enthusiastic and helpful! Definitely super immersive & equally as fun :^]

This was really fun, Elijah was such a lovely host & the best to help us get through. I had an amazing experience with our host! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone understood the game and felt included. Their energy, organization, and helpfulness made the entire experience smooth and super fun. Definitely recommend them if you're looking for someone who can bring a game to life and keep the group engaged!

We (4 of us) did the Special Ops room and had an AMAZING time!!!! Our game master, Sybil, was THE BEST!!! Highly recommend The Escape Game, highly recommend Special Ops, and HIGHLY recommend Sybil! Couldn’t have escaped without you, Sybil! THANK YOU!! While waiting for our game to start, Jake (front desk) was super courteous and friendly and answered the million questions we had to ease our anxiety before going into the game. We had so much fun and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing experience today at the Escape Game Chicago! We did the Special Ops: Mysterious Market. It was my first time in an escape room and I enjoyed every second of it. Everything was very well designed and fun, and the staff was amazing (special thanks to Nathan!!). They even surprised us at the end with a card that they wrote for us for our anniversary! I will be remembering this day fondly for sure. We thank everyone for their amazing assistance, we will definitely be going back soon again!

Ooh my goodness, THIS is the escape game everyone needs to do!!!! You feel like you have been transported to another time and place with each room (s). My husband and I did the Timeliner, Prison Break, and the Depths. We ran out of time on Timeliner and the prison break but Escaped the Depths!!!!! Can't wait to go back and try the other rooms! Thank you to Jack for help with the Depths, and Curtis for help with Prison Break!

Recently went for my birthday and I absolutely loved it! This is my second time visiting the Escape Game & they never disappoint. The staff is so great and the games are top notch. We tried the Special Ops room this time &, for it just being my son and I, we got pretty far, but thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. The staff surprised me with a birthday card signed by everyone, and T-shirts, which was super sweet & thoughtful and made the experience one of a kind. Will definitely be returning again! ❤️

I booked this spot for my friend's bachelorette outing and we all had an amazing time! The staff was so kind from booking over the phone to our room host! They even went above and beyond and decorated wedding props for our celebration. Lastly, they gifted my friend a self care box and a t-shirt on the house to celebrate her special day! This was my first time here and I cannot wait to go back with my family. I highly recommend this place!!
