Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance do I need to schedule the private class?
We require private classes to be scheduled at least 1 month in advance. We try to work with clients and make exceptions when possible, but we are limited by the executive chef's calendar.
Is the class at home or in a private kitchen?
Both options are available. Some folks prefer us to come to them; others prefer a space that is just for baking that they travel to. Regardless, we provide all the materials and the clean up.
What times are available for the class?
We have run classes starting as early as 7am and classes starting as late as 6:30pm. We try to work with the calendars of clients.
How long are classes?
120 minutes, on the dot! By that time, you will have learned how to make extraordinary bagels and you will be eating them with smoked salmon and schmear!
Is there a limit to the number of participants?
If using our training kitchen as the location, we cannot accommodate more than 12 students. If we are coming to you, then the cap should be what is reasonable for your space. Generally, a class above 16 students will require 2 stoves and 2 ovens. We generally recommend that classes be kept to under 12 students.

Do you bring toppings for the bagels?
Yes - we bring everything, the toppings, the smoked salmon, the schmear. You just bring an appetite and an eagerness to bake!
