What you'll do: A private chef takes over your kitchen or dining space and turns the evening into a full sit-down dinner party, built around a menu made for your group.

  • Menu Planning – Review a sample menu or work with the chef by phone to build a custom menu around your group's theme or occasion

  • Grazing Board – Start the evening with a grazing board or light bites while the kitchen gets moving

  • Table Styling – Sit down to a table set and styled for the night, ready for photos before the first course

  • Dinner Service – Choose family style or plated courses, served course by course in your space

About this experience partner: Blended Palette Catering is led by Tara, a former pastry chef who trained in five-star hotels and country clubs before becoming a private chef on Kiawah Island, SC. She built her catering business around Charleston's wedding and bachelorette crowd, and now designs custom private chef experiences for dinner parties, brunches, and themed group events across the Charleston area. Guests come back for the custom menus and the full presentation — table styling included.

  • Pricing – Menus start at $65 per person (roughly three courses) plus a $250 chef's fee; final pricing depends on the menu you choose

  • Groups Over 10 – A second Blended Palette team member joins for a $120 assistant fee to keep larger events running smoothly

Is there a deposit?

Yes, you can pay your $200 deposit via Zelle. If you do not have Zelle and would like to pay with a credit card, I can send you an invoice with Square.

How much does it cost?

Every party is unique and so their menu prices. The minimum is $65 per person with an additional chef fee price of $250 and tax is 9%. If a party is larger than 10 then an assistant will be needed, which is $120. Gratuity is not included, but graciously appreciated.

Can you accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies?

Yes. Menus can be customized to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and group preferences. Share any needs during the planning process so the chef can create a menu everyone can enjoy.

What is included in the private chef experience?

Your experience includes menu planning, a grazing board or light bites, table styling, dinner service, and full kitchen cleanup. The chef handles the preparation, service, and cleanup so your group can relax and enjoy the evening.

Can we provide our own alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to provide your own alcohol. Blended Palette Catering does not hold a liquor license, but can connect you with a local mobile bar partner if you would like to arrange bar service.
