What you'll do:

A one-of-a-kind Safari Tour and ranch experience in Fredericksburg, Texas. Guests will begin at Bankersmith Boil Shack for check-in, then head across the street to Grapetown Vineyard & Farm for a behind-the-scenes tram tour through a working ranch and exotic animal sanctuary.

The starting price is for the Safari Tour experience only and does not include wine tasting. Multiple ticket options and upgrades are available, including options with wine tasting and additional animal experiences.

Get ready for a truly unique Texas Hill Country adventure. Your experience begins at Bankersmith Boil Shack, where you will check in, receive your wristbands, and meet some of our friendly on-site animals before heading across the street to Grapetown Vineyard & Farm.

At Grapetown Vineyard & Farm, a trained Animal Care Professional will shuttle you by tram through the ranch for a behind-the-scenes look at our exotic animals, rescue sanctuary, and working farm operations. Along the way, you may see and possibly interact with animals such as kangaroos, zebra, capybara, alpacas, camels, giraffe, goats, sheep, deer, ostrich, lemurs, bison, longhorns, and more.

Many of these animals are part of our extended family, and several have been rescued. Their care and stories are at the heart of the experience.

• Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Check-in begins at Bankersmith Boil Shack, located at 7905 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624. After check-in, the tour continues across the street at Grapetown Vineyard & Farm, located at 8142 Old San Antonio Road, Fredericksburg, Texas 78624.

  This tour is not held at Safari Winery. Do not go to Safari Winery.

  This is a working ranch, so please dress appropriately. Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended. Please do not wear open-toed shoes or flip-flops. Loose livestock and staff may be present on the property, so drive slowly and use caution.

  The full experience lasts approximately 2 hours, though many guests spend much of the day enjoying both properties.
