About this Experience

What you'll do:

Picture this: you start on the sand in a sun-warmed yoga flow using your surfboard as your mat, then paddle into the Pacific with a coach beside you, catching your first real wave or sharpening the skills you already have all within a single three-hour session.

  • Beachside vinyasa and yin yoga – Flow through a guided practice designed to build the breath control, balance, and hip mobility that translate directly into surfing.

  • Surfboard-as-mat training – Use your actual surfboard during yoga to develop the muscle memory you'll need when you're on the water.

  • Private surf lesson in the ocean – Receive hands-on coaching from instructors Kristina and Nick, who adjust the session to your exact skill level.

  • Reading waves and positioning – Learn to identify rideable waves, time your paddle, and pop up with control skills that stick long after the session ends.

  • Post-session reset – Wrap up with light stretching, refreshments, and snacks on the beach before you pack up.

The session is structured so the yoga primes your body for surfing, not the other way around. By the time you hit the water, you already feel loose, centered, and ready to ride.

Why we love it for your group:

  • All levels genuinely welcome – The instruction scales from true beginners who have never stood on a board to surfers who want technical coaching, so no one in the group feels left behind or under-challenged.

  • Two disciplines, one seamless session – Combining a private surf lesson with guided yoga means your group gets twice the experience without splitting up or switching venues.

  • Four iconic LA beach locations – Choose from Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice Beach, or South Bay, depending on swell conditions and vibe, the instructors guide you to the best spot for your group that day.

  • Everything provided – Surfboards, wetsuits, yoga equipment, towels, and snacks are all included, so you show up with nothing but yourself.

  • Fully customizable – Add extended session time or wellness enhancements to build the exact half-day you have in mind for a birthday, bachelorette, or team outing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don't have a wetsuit?

Not a problem! We have wetsuits for all body types! We will ask for your specifics upon booking.

What do I wear for something like this?

There's yoga and surfing movement, so comfort is your priority! Wear a swimsuit or active wear suitable for salt water that may be worn under a wetsuit. Bring a change of clothes if you'd like - we will provide changing shelters.

Do I need a yoga mat?

Nope! We have all of the equipment needed for our unique session on the beach. If you would like to bring your own towel, you are welcome, but they will also be provided.

Will there be any shade?

Yes! We have shade tents to provide a reprieve from the long day in the sun. That said, it is recommended you wear an all-natural, waterproof sunscreen such as zinc. Hats and other sun guard clothing are also a good idea.
