A Color Consult That Doesn't End at the Door

The Aesthetic Edit started with a simple frustration. Most style advice chases trends and fades by next season. Seasonal color analysis felt different, a tool women could carry for the rest of their lives, whether they're shopping for a new job, a big milestone, or a Tuesday. The founder built the studio around that idea: help women ground themselves in their own visual identity so they stop buying things that look great on the hanger and wrong in the mirror.

‍

What sets it apart from a typical color consult is the follow-through. Plenty of analysts test a few broad tones and send you home with a paper card. Here, the draping runs through all 12 seasons and 48 individual colors, then connects the result to hair color, makeup shades, metals, and everyday outfits. Guests leave with in-app palettes, tailored shopping guides, and practical tools to start using the moment they walk out. Reviewers mention the take-home packet over and over, with one calling it full of great information.

How the Draping Works

Each guest takes a turn in the chair while colored fabrics are held up to her face. The analyst works through light versus dark, soft versus bright, warm versus cool undertones, and gold versus silver, narrowing down until one season clicks into place. Full sessions run 20 to 30 minutes per person and include hair, makeup, and outfit guidance. Groups of 11 or more get mini sessions of 10 to 15 minutes that cover the core characteristics, undertones, metals, and season palette.

‍

Guests describe the process as patient and easy to follow, with plenty of room to ask questions. The studio itself gets called clean and welcoming. Come with a clean face and a white, grey, or nude top so nothing competes with the drapes.

‍

‍

Why It Works for a Bachelorette

Think of it as a personality quiz crossed with a glam session. Everyone gets a turn, everyone gets a reveal, and the group reacts in real time as complexions brighten or fall flat. There's a lot of gasping, a lot of "wait, do that one again," and a lot of friends finally understanding why that one sweater never worked.

‍

It also pays off for the rest of the trip. Book it early in the weekend and the group can plan going-out looks around their new palettes, borrow each other's lipstick with confidence, and show up to dinner photo-ready. Long after the party, the bride and her crew share a language they keep using: who's a True Autumn, who's a Cool Summer, and who should never wear mustard again.

‍

‍

Studio or Suite, Two to Thirty Guests

Sessions happen at the Pacific Beach studio or on-site at your hotel, Airbnb, or venue, so it can slot in before a night out without anyone leaving the rental. Groups of 2 to 10 get the full experience, and groups of 11 to 30 get mini sessions so everyone gets draped without the afternoon dragging. For crews bigger than 30, a second analyst can join.

‍

It works beyond bachelorettes too. One women's dinner party booked mini sessions and many of the guests came back for full ones afterward, which says a lot about how it lands. Holiday gatherings, birthdays, and group gifting all fit the same format.
